Zenden suffered a knee injury in a Champions League tie against Real Betis on 23 Nov and was initially ruled out for four weeks. However, the problem has turned out to be more severe. It has materialised that he has cruciate ligament damage.
A club spokesman said: "Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Bolo will play again this season." Zenden will fly to America this weekend to see Dr Richard Steadman, a renowned knee specialist, in Colorado, with the operation scheduled for next Wednesday. |
