Ha Smithy! Not everyone wants the cheating Brazilians to win.

Not sure if you mean Smithy or me, but as I posted recently I think it was me Wink
Hence I'll reply - of course some people want Germany to win
- e.g. Cookiely for obvious reasons,
and others because Brazil are cheats etc., and others want Germany to lose because
we are tired of their domination in women's football,
we want someone else on top for a change etc etc.

I want Brazil to win for Marta alone - I knew her since she was just a teenage girl
with awesome skills, now she's a football superstar
and The World Player of the Year and so on,
and I think she finally deserves to win something as big, with her national team too Cool

Only just watching the Brazil v Argentina game.

My heart has been split, I don't know what to think about Brazil. On one hand they play so well and win me over every time yet they cheat...it's very sad Sad
You can't ignore their bad side but I think you have to, to see the real way they play is so strong, quick and skillful.
Marta has been just spectacular Cool

Brazil created that edge to the game and pushed the all the right buttons, the US couldn't deal with it. They didn't look like they really wanted to be in the Final, I don't believe they know what it's like to be down a goal. I'm sure this has something to do with everything behind the scenes.

The US were battled off every ball, Brazil chased everything down they were up for it and were very confident.

Hopefully tomorrow Brazil will stick to playing football and leave all the dramatics for stage school.

Some Germans are very good in cheating too,
let's hope we won't be watching a very nasty game tomorrow Wink

BTW, are you guys gonna be able to watch the Bronze medal game?
All I've got is Eurosport and they're not showing it Sad

Wink Nah I wouldn`t be too heartbroken over a loss.

We propably will get the right to host WC 2011 since our lobby at he FIFA is more powerful than Canadas or Perus.

For that a loss in a spectacular game against brazil in the final would be a great setup for a lets get the cup back on our homeground campaingn for the next WC.

It surely is more suspeseful than a we won the cup two times in a row but lets win it for a third time campaign

I wonder where I'll be in 4 years thnough,
Australia perhaps? Wink

Darling, go and write it on a few sticky notes and put them around the house so you have a constant reminder!

Remember you need to write: 'WATCH THE USA v NORWAY GAME ON FIFA.com'

Yeah, i was referring to you.

So you don't want Germany to win because they have dominated the women's game? But what about USA, they have also dominated, but you wanted them to do well didn't you? Which nation has been the most dominant anyway?

Oh and Brazil have dominated in men's game, so they don't need to do it in the women's game as well!

Germany won Euro 2001, WWC 2003, Euro 2005,
and German clubs were winning the UEFA Cup
(which is like Women's Champions League)
in 2005 & 2006 so I'm really sick of them winning almost everything.

You don't feel the US dominance so much
because obviously they cannot compete in the European competitions
and the last World Cup they won, was in 1999.
Besides, I have been a fan of the USWNT for a long time.

As for Brasil, even if they win the WWC tomorrow,
it will not mean a world domination just yet.
At least not as big as the Germans still have.

What time is it anyway?

I think i remember reading it was on BBC 2 at 1pm in about 10 hours then. Was i wrongly informed, or is that right?

Anyway, if Germany have been dominating of late, how come they aren't ranked no1 in the world?

Because they did really bad in a big tournament in Portugal
a few months ago. They've ended up at 7th or 8th position
and had to give up the no.1 spot.
They have been there for a very long time though.

The final is at 1pm GMT, and the Bronze Medal Game at 10 am GMT.

Cheers Smithy.

I certainly won't be up in time for the first one, and might end up missing some of the final if i don't set my alarm. It's late you see, and i like a lot of sleep.

Speaking of the time, isn't it about time you got yourself tucked up in bed?

Girls don't stay awake this late!

Right?
