Roy Keane is ready to snub offers from Real Madird, Bolton and Everton to join his boyhood heroes Celtic according to a national newspaper today. The move should be complete within the next 48 hours.

So it looks as though Keano has chosen to go with his heart...

Opinions please Smile

Well the tables have turned quickle. Has Keano realised Spain isnt the place for him ? Has he realised he is best off at his boyhood club ? Or does he just want a easier strole in the Scottish league ?

Great signing, and the right move for me.

This is a very bad move for Celtic in my opinion this will be our budget for the rest of the season all Desmond wants him for is to sell shirts he will olny cause the team more trouble than what it is worth and we don't need him really I would rather see the some young talent coming in like Pienaar etc.

Celtic to win race for Keane

Released Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has accepted an offer from Celtic.
The Sun says Keane is set to sign for Celtic in a sensational move in the next 48 hours.

Keane has been linked with Real Madrid, Everton and Bolton since his shock departure from Manchester United last month.

But, in a stunning twist to the saga it's been revealed he is on his way to join boyhood heroes Celtic.

Oh here it is- cheers Mo.
Is slightly weird how things are working out with him- I bet he'll go to Real after all this.

I know, its annoying me as a Celtic fan too be perfectly honest!

Just make a decision so Celtic can move on and end the constant speculation.

Such a shame, he will break his leg in his Old Firm game when Commando Ricksen gets into him anyway.

Then again, with a guy like Keane, I can see a LOT of bad tackles coming in from any SPL side trying to make a name for themselves to gain his "respect".

Celtic are strong enough without him, he is a liability.

well just heard from those chaps at the BBC that Roy Keane has completed his expected move to Celtic . The deal is reported to be about Ģ40,000 a week with majority shareholder Dermot Desmond apparently paying for half of it . Keane will make his debut in the Scottish Cup game against Clyde in the new year .

So it was Celtic after weeks of dithering here and there .

Keane signed his deal on Thursday which will take him to 2007 and he is really looking forward to beginning his life as a Celtic player.

"It is a great move fore me, I have taken my time but everything is now done - it is a good day," Keane explained, "I am looking forward to the challenge."

He explained that he had talked with a number of interested parties since his depature from Manchester United last month and that included Spanish giants Real Madrid.

"There has been a lot of speculation in the last few weeks and I have spoken to a lot of clubs," he confirmed.

Done deal, 18 months is a good length of time for him. I think its a compromise between what he wanted and what Celtic were willing to give him.

Keane and Lennon are 30+ on the same position, so Celtic are some kind of "old" here... Of course Keane is a good player, but I donīt know, whether he can help his new club for long.

Well he's not looking to be here for long is he, that's why he has signed for 18 months only which is actually more than I expected and I think he will add some real passion and aggression to the team and at the same time adding experience and hopefull he can be a role model to the younger generation of Bhoys.

He'll get a good season of CL football anyway, and maybe that is what Celtic will need if he stays inury free for it.
