We had been in control since the first goal, I can't believe we have just conceded again. But once again we jus don't look like f*cking scoring, nice one Steve.

It's been a very even game indeed, we have had lots of the balls but once again do not look like producing anything in the final third. Hunt and Oster are playing well down the flanks, but Doyle and Kitson just not producing.

The depressing thing is i can see more of the same in the second half and Newcastle possible to sneak in another couple, which would be disastrous.

The way this half as started, just a matter of time before Newcastle get their third.
Pathetic start.

Absolutely woeful.

F*cking shite.

If it weren't for the poor from of Bolton, i would say we were going down.

It won't just be three either.

Glad that's over, certainly an afternoon to forget. We weren't bad at all in the first half, competing very well and extremely unlucky to go in 2-0 down, Rosenior slipping for the first goal and the second losing Owen and a good finish from him. We just, for all our possession, did not look like scoring which is the huge problem once again for us this season. The Second half we were very poor indeed, Newcastle were camped on the edge of our eighteen yard box for the first fifteen minutes and the third goal that came was inevitable really. It got a little better but we just could not get the final ball right at any time and created very little in the way of changes.

We certainly are not safe yet and NEED to beat Fulham next weekend.

floody i agree you are not safe but i believe you have enough to stay up. Especially with Bolton being heavily battered by Villa.

The (fingers crossed) poor form of Bolton will be the only thing that will keep us up. Our away form is abysmal and with just two home games left, one of which against a strong Spurs side, unless we pick up points on the road and fast, its going to go right down to the wire for us. In Wigan and Derby, there are games that we could and should pick up points from at their grounds, but I just don't see it, we are so short of goal scorers at the moment it is unreal.

no problem Wink

lovely win that. sounds strange to say we've won 3 games in a row, but we have :wow:

our goal difference for the last three games is +8, and that includes 2 clean sheets. thanks to this win, we are now certainly safe from the drop, and can focus on a good next season now.

the 4-3-3 seems to be working for us of late. owen's 4 in as many games, and 6 in 9 i think it is for him. with each of our 3 pronges attack grabbing a goal, it seems to be quite a good trio we have up there, martins and viduka bagging a few goals for themselves recently as well.

by the sounds of it, the midfield trio of geremi, barton and butt again seemed to be effective, a strong performance by the three again. with the defence of beye, edgar, faye and enrique, i wasn't expecting a clean sheet today, especially with edgar replacing taylor in the centre but by the sounds of it, they performed well, and the clean sheet proves this.

Im not sure you will pick up 3 points at Wigan, theyve been laying decent of late, creating many chances just not finishing them. If they had a natural goal scorer i reckon theyd be a decent squad.

I also dont like to say things like this but i reckon you'll get points off us.
