i dunno where to start.. phew.. but i'm glad we had a draw.. sigh.. Sad

vidic's bloodily missed at the back.. o'shea could hardly play decent and i was a little bit puzzled to see brown being shifted to the centre.. it didn't quite seem to fit him well.. Confused

what a relieve that finally fergie decided to take o'shea off and brought hargreaves on.. and hope nothing's serious with ferdinand.. we can't afford to lose two cbs this tuesday.. Crying or Very sad

other good subs for jisung and pique.. that's brilliant dribble and passing to end up as a goal by Rooney.. as well as the first one by carrick to ronaldo.. and pique looked so so good.. been a long time since last saw him on the pitch.. Very Happy

we should've been given a pk when a boro player committed a handball.. too bad the ref didn't see it.. he hardly noticed some bad fouls Mad

Points dropped for Man Utd. Chelsea might start fancing their chances and I think they have a very good chance of winning the title. I believe Arsenal are too far back to win now but they can make a difference to where the title is going.

Much needed point for Boro though.

Pretty much agree with much of what you say.

Middlesborough were WELL up for this game, anyone would think it was their world cup final judging by the effort they put into this one. I have to say that Middlesborough were very lucky with several decisions that went in their favour today. United should have had at least 2 penalties and Rooney given offside (it wasn't) when one on one with the goalkeeper. Middlesborough were out for a result and got it with a combination of playing on top of their game plus CHEATING. Blatant diving save by hand in the box to stop a Ronaldo pile driver......PENALTY no doubt about it......not given by Riley. The blantant trip on Ronaldo after he escaped two defenders and got into the Middleborough box should have been a straight red in my opinion.

Having said all of that, Middlesborough played their part to make it an attacking open and entertaining game and deserved their two goals. We definitely missed Vidic.

In summary......Middleborough cheated.....got away with it.....we were robbed.

Very Happy

The one problem that BOTH Arsenal and Chelski have is......they BOTH have to play the Champions and neither have done very well against the Champions this season. I expect United to take the points in both games.

That's not a problem at all. Chelsea will be bloody glad they have to play United at Stamford Bridge a few weeks from the end of the season, as it's one time that United dropping points is put into their hands.

Chelsea were easily beaten 2-0 at Old Trafford and will not be looking forward to meeting the Champions in a must win game for them - no matter where the game is played.

As much as I hate Boro, they are not a cheating team. You say "This was like Middlesbroughs cup final" I wonder why as they do seem to have a good record against the top 4, y'know. They are obviously going to be up for it, You'd call them pathetic if they weren't up for it really.
Stop whining aswell, United generally get decisions towards them every game. It makes a change really that a few decisions didn't go your way for once.

Yes they will be, because if they're to win the league they know they're going to need to haul United back, and playing them is precisely how to do it. You think Chelsea want to leave it up to the likes of Middlesbrough to halt their challenge? Of course not, 'cause then it's out of their hands.

And don't bring that 2-0 match into it - not only were United very fortunate in decisions but it was Grant's first game. It has no bearing whatsoever.

I disagree Becks, United have had many clear cut decisions not given in their favour in numerous games this season. There is no getting away from it, although Boro played well, they could only stop Ronaldo by cheating......maybe they feel it was justified because they felt cheated by previous penalty decisions given against them last year involving Ronaldo.

And I'm not whining......I'm merely stating the facts as I saw it. Boro cheated and got away with it. That's life. It's now in the past, forgotten as far as I'm concerned. Let's move on to the next game.

It's a fact, live with it Ben Very Happy United owned Chelski in that match and yes it will be on the minds of the Chelski players that THEY are the inferior team. It will be precisely the same mentality that caused Liverpool to lose both games to United. Beaten before they even get on the pitch Wink

I expect that too but there is a small glimmer of hope now for the other 2 sides. Man Utd really only have to draw those games and they win the league on the other results.

Good result for the league challengers Chelsea and Arsenal, although Arsenal are a bit too far behind, Chelsea are within a win.

A very good match for entertainment despite the poor conditions. Boro did well (always do well against the big clubs) and could/should have won it near the end with Tuncay

On the bbc they were suggesting that Afonso Alves could have been a flop Laughing the next day he goes out and scores a good double against United

That's a load of crap. Liverpool have got just a single point from a possible 24 against United under Rafa's reign, and THAT'S why mentally we struggle in those games. To compare that to one defeat Chelsea suffered whilst Grant had only just arrived is stupid.

That match was a cert for United with Grant having no time to do anything with the side, and to take anything extensive from it would be silly. And Chelsea will want to play United as they know if they're to catch them they're going to have to beat them.

The points you make are fair comment.

My point is this, Man Utd are the DADDY as far as the top 4 are concerned this season and the results speak for themselves. This season, United have beaten Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal and that MUST have a psychological impact on our opponents. I admit, my comments and viewpoint were deliberately designed to be controversial in the eyes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea supporters, however, I would have preferred your description of them as 'nonsense' rather than 'crap' Wink and maybe 'biased' rather than 'stupid' Smile Still reserving the right to disagree with you, of course Rolling Eyes

RESPECT man Cool RESPECT

Middlesborough v Man Utd
