Pienaar

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of player Pienaar is? Dortmund is most likely signing him and I wanted to know his good/bad points, would be great if anyone could tell me more about him.. Ive hardly ever seen him play so thanx

when he is motivated hes great.

In 2002 he was magic.. but now not that good anymore.. Maybe at dortmund he gets better again, but here he lost a bit of respect.. Why? Because he owns everything to Ajax.. they picked him up at Ajax Cap e town from the worse neighbourhoods there.. And now he goes for free away.. unbelievable.. sign for one year and then move.. if you know what i mean

and hes not the only one, maxwell, trabelsi, de jong.. all the same..

yep i know what you mean, we've had these kind of players too in the past... I hope he does get better at Dortmund we already signed some players who got worse, we bought one from another german Bundesliga team this season, at his team he scored loads and now there's nothing, he's a striker and he didnt score once or even assist through the whole half of the season!

We also signed Amoah, dont know much about him either really.. our manager is dutch, thats why we're buying all the players from Holland now...

ooh yes i know the problem with strikers.. Ajax has the last years lots of problems with strikers who dont score.. But be patient.. maybe next year he is the star..

Yes youre manager is Bert van Marwijk.. How do you think he is doing?

Yep Delron Buckley is southafrican too and i was talking about him with no goals and no assists... Hmm yeah maybe he'll improve next year...

we're very unlucky with injuries at the moment, esp. with our strikers, Koller, Ricken and van der Gun are all out with the same injury (not sure what thats called in english now, but that knee injury when youre out for 6 months, guess u know which one i mean)

I think van Marwijk is doing a great job in Dortmund, he's formed a really good new young team, we got many young talented players and I think in like 3-4 years we'll hopefully be somewhere under the first 3 again...

Pienaar is coming to Celtic!!!

Dortmund are bankrupt, and selling their best player Rosicky in January, why would Pienaar want to go to a club that is struggling in the league and will not be playing European football next season?

Im sure he would rather playing alongside Roy Keane than Sebastian Kehl.

No Moravcik.. its pretty much sure he is going to Dortmund..

Since when, over in the UK it is still between Man City and Celtic, first ive heard of Dortmund's interest.

in the german press they announced today that Pienaar is definetly joining Dortmund, either this winter already, in case Rosicky goes (I know he's a great player but he never really managed to be at his best in Dortmund, I dont know why) or in summer 2006. Dont know why he picks Dortmund over Celtic.. I havent read it confirmed on the Dortmund webpage yet but it seems pretty certain cause the press is already announcing it here.. but u never know, there are always so many rumours...

How much wage wise do you think Dortmund will pay him a week?

I have no idea really! but not too much I think cause its not Dortmunds best financial times, dont think anyone would join the club for the money right now...

He is still hoping for a english team but he already singed there for 3 years.
And i dont think he will be playing better in Germany because there best player Rosicky is moving that
says it all about Dortmund they really need money.

I know Dortmund needs money but Rosicky is not really our best player, ok one of the most expensive players but he never played as good in Dortmund as for his national team for example. I think thats also part of the reason why they dont mind selling him.

Yes but he wants to play in Europe? He wont be doing that year in year out with Dortmund.

He would learn more aswell because Celtic have a better squad.

He is only 23. So let him stay a few years in Dortmund. Then he can still move to the Paradise / Celtic Park and have challenges against Dunfermline or Falkirk.

It seems news in UK/Scotland and continental Europe are quite different. How about some rumours out of Japan:
1 Rosicky canceled his contact to Arsenal and will stay in Dormund. Thus Steven will not arrive before next summer?
2 After Klaas-Jan Huntelaar arrival at Ajax, Charisteas has to leave?
