A poor 1st half for us. At the end of the half i thought we were playing our best until Crouch scored. When i checked our team before the match i knew we wont win this.

Fancy putting Traore in. He has already screwed up a few times. Im not happy. Once again we will have to do a miracle to win this. I cannot see us winning this. Ill take my anger outside.

It was a good finish from Crouch but what was our defence doing??

Well the Chelsea loss cripples you. You're vegetables... if you drop points today, this will be the fatal blow.

Thats a good point there. He had space to at least go up a little bit i think. I will have to look at the highlights but he is having a shocker Bendtner.

First half was terrible except for the 5-10 minutes that we actually started playing. Then somehow we end up giving up a goal. Eboue's last ball is absolutely horrendous.

Adebayor needs to come on for Bendtner, Eboue needs to move back to RB while Hoyte needs to come off for Hleb.

That analogy brings all kinds of warm fuzzy feelings to my heart.

Thats what i would like to see int he 2nd half. Im worried about Adebayor but because apparently hes carrying a slight ankle injury, and i just dont want it to get worse if he does come on fairly early.

Eboues struggling. As you said his last ball was bad and thats 2 for the night so far from Eboue.

I dont know how we can win this.

That's easy. He's lacking confidence. Any in form striker would have slotted it right past the keeper (granted the keeper didn't make an amazing save). I think he was more concerned about getting the ball on target than burying it in the back of the net.

We are well worth our lead, and i'm surprised it took so long to come. We owned Arsenal for the first 30-35 minutes and Benayoun definitely should have scored earlier... They came back into it with a very good 5-10 minutes spell and that's when we netted, which i was relieved at. I thought we'd blown it when we didn't score and they started to come alive.

In the next half i think Pennant, Riise, Lucas and Benayoun all have to get closer to Crouch and support him - his height is there but it does little damage if no-one is there to support him. And crosses aren't his forteit, nor is it the most difficult thing to defend. As we saw with Yossi and him linking up, it can cut them open and we have to do that more in the second half. Play it to feet or chest for Crouch to lay it off, or even head, but try to refrain from going down the flanks... All too often because Crouch is our main link he can't get into the box after playing the likes of Pennant down the wing.

On another note, Plessis has been very good for his debut. An assured performance and he really settled in during our dominant period - he's tended to come out strong in the tackle and his short passing has mostly been composed. He dropped quite deep for most of the half but we even saw him have a shot on goal (or towards goal), and i've been impressed by the 20-year-old.

hahahaha.. great play by the merseyside reds.. Laughing Laughing

i think the reds dominated the ball possession during the first half.. crouch played very well with a few passings for chances on goals.. and finally he himself managed to put one in.. and it ain't an easy one from his position surrounded by a bunch.. yes.. a bunch of the Gunners players.. Very Happy

arbeloa's been superb too.. he's pretty good at clearing balls.. meanwhile Gunners.. hahahaha.. too bad to comment.. all i remember's the way wenger grumbled Razz

i see more goals from Liverpool if torres and gerrard are on.. Wink

Clichy isn't needed yet (till it gets desperate in the end, but hope it doesn't get to that). Traore is doing fine on that side. Just Hoyte needs to come off to give way for Hleb.
