Barcelona sports chief Txiki Begiristain has a bumper £20 million transfer kitty for the winter market.
The club's finance director Ferran Soriano confirmed there would "£20 million" available for new signings at the end of the season, but "that does not mean it will all be spent".

On the club's search for a new shirt sponsor, Soriano added: "As the team continues to win, the shirt price gets higher and higher."

Who do you think they might buy? and in what positions?

I would like Barça signed a central defence because we only have Puyol, Marquez and Oleguer and sometimes Marquez and Oleguer have to play in a different position. We need another.

Yep, that's maybe the only position they have to improve (although it's not very necessary). In my opinion, and only in my opinion, I would also try to sign a lefty offensive wing, so I could put Ronaldinho between the midfield and the forwards. Vicente, Robben, Reyes and even Kaka may do it fine in that position.

I suppose that Barça will sign Henry, still that last days I've read that they are doubting to sign him because they didn't think Messi was so good. And if Henry played perhaps Messi would be in the bench quite games.

Reyes to Barca???? You really thin hes good enough? I wouldnt have him at Spurs for all the diamonds in Africa.

nah .. sorry Raul ... but i don't think they need a left winger. they play a 4-3-3 thats similar to Chelsea's and you can expect Ronaldinho to always occupy the left wing. I would sign someone to be back-up for Xavi though. Poor fella is out for 6 months!

You say that because the premierleague is not a good place for Reyes, but I remember him delighting the fans in Sevilla, He's pure class, or at least He was in La Liga.

Thats cos lots of players fall over and feign injury in La Liga and that suits Reyes down to the ground.

I think Barcelona is doing fine, why bother!
If they have to buy one player, a good skipper( makelele or Vieira's level) will be the right choice.

Concerning Reyes, he is the kind of player I really like to watch, but I reckon he still has a lot of work to do. Besides bad finishing, what else should he improve?

a good skipper?? Shocked

I think that Puyol is doing a fantastic job as captain, why do they need too sign a player for their new skipper?

Yeah ... haha ... that doesnt make sense. But I agree they do need a central midfielder. Somebody who can defend to complement Deco. Since Xavi is out for 6 months.

thats so funny jono...cause i didnt notice that ...but after watching the united Arsenal game ...the man is such a diver...giggs barely touched him and he acted like he was dying...all three united cards were caused by reyes diving....therefore i agree

it is one of the things about Reyes that even i have to admit to , he does go down too often expecting a free kick when he should just get up and carry on . He is still young though so there is plenty of time for him to learn and improve .
