Celtic boss Gordon Strachan hinted he was losing patience with defender Bobo Balde after his Little Johnny-up yesterday against Livingston.
The big Guinean's blunder led to Livingston's equalising goal at Parkhead, his complete embarrassment prevented only by a late winner from team-mate Shunsuke Nakamura.
Asked about Balde's part in the mishap, Strachan said: "Mistakes are made, and we have to work at eradicating them. But if we don't think they can be eradicated, we may have to do something about it."
When asked to expand on the likelihood of his taking similar action against the player - particularly with the league match against Hearts at Tynecastle due on Sunday - Strachan gave what may be called a fudged response.
"Oh, look, if I were ever to leave a player out, he would be the first to know," said the manager. "I wouldn't be letting him know through you gentlemen."
