Future Marquee signings. |

Who would you like to see in the League next season- discuss it here.
To kick it off, someone like Teddy Sheringham would be a good signing for the league, although the rumors linking him with Victory have consistently been denied. Certainly more Japanese players come to mind, although I dont know enough yet to say exactly! |

I think more Asian players are probably the way to go, although I don't know the players. But once we're part of the Asian Champions League set-up we'll get a better look at these players. It would be more plausible then anyway that good players from South Korea and Japan may see us as a good stepping stone to Europe, but our clubs have yet to prove that.
As for 'marquee' signings, I'm unsure. I'd like to see a couple of older South Americans strut their stuff here - Romario, Simeone etc, but they're not realistic. They've had their European adventures and now are most likely to be happy finishing their careers at home. The most realistic are Australian players who are nearing the end in Europe - players like Paul Okon, Stan Lazaridis, Tony Vidmar and so on. The option of the 'marquee' signing means they can possibly be enticed home a little earlier than otherwise. |

Paul Gascoigne, ive just finished reading his book and he seriously considered it before he went to China. The only thing that he didnt like about China was the food and language problems.
He is a insanely hard worker when he wants to get fit, so i think he would be willing to to play in the A League! Teddy would be great but I dont see it happening next season, I think West Ham will keep him on. |
