My point about Klose is not meaning less at all.

Pele played well in world cups, but so did plenty of other players too. In fact, Klose has scored more than him in world cups even though he's played in only two.

And yes, Zidane may have led France to success, but Platini was just as amazing, if not even more amazing for France. Just because they didn't win the world cup, it doesn't mean he wasn't as good. The France 98 team was the best in the world, all over the pitch they had so much quality.

Both French teams had brilliant players - for every Thuram and Henry there was a Tigana or Giresse in Platini's side. But Zidane made the difference. Two headers in the final in 1998 plus his goal in the European Cup final - when did Platini do that?

Your point about Klose is meaningless because although he's scored a high number of goals in two world cups, who has he scored them against? He got 3 of them against the mighty Saudi Arabia for a start! It's like saying Oleg Salenko had a better 1994 world cup than Baggio or Romario because he scored a goal more - even though he got 5 of them against Cameroon in a group game!

Technically Maradona is in a class of his own, that's why I voted for him.

And because he's the most entertaining to watch.

All the big players from his generation, and future generations who did watch agree it's Pele. That and the videos I've watched are good enough for me.

That's bullsh*t. People that know what they are talking about, tend to pick Maradona from what i've heard, seen and read.

Although it's pretty close admittedly. In who they pick that is, not in ability. Maradona is a cut above in my opinion.

its hard to decide who is the best player besause everyone value different aspects of a players game. personally i think george best is the best, pele, maradonna, charlton, eusebio, puskas etc... are truly great players but i think if you put them all together, with no team mates and the ball at their feet ,im sure best had more natural ability than anybody who has ever played the game

Zidane isnt on the list either.Do you think if Kluivert would have applied himself more that he could have been one of the greats?
