Ferguson always managed to ballance youth with buying experience, I dont think Wenger has quite got that ballance right yet.

I admire the mans patience, he is obviously a winner, and the tempation to just buy big names must always be there when things dont go well, but he always sticks with his players and shows belief in them. He has the big picture in mind, always has. Maybe it is becoming impossible with the present culture of short-termist caused by plastic glory-hunting fans who no nothing about football.

Wenger just needs to buy a defence, simple as.
--------------------GK
------------------Boruc
--RWB-------CB-------CB-----LWB
--Alves----Cuellar--Mexes---Clichy

Idea

Defences win championships.

Rest of the team is fine... oh and maybe a striker... RVP is too injury prone to be relied upon

Sagna has been our best defender IMO. So no need to replace him at RB. maybe buy a good cover for him(But Eboue might be good enough of a cover IMO but Wenger should stop using him at RW and buy a good player there or give Walcott more chances to shine). But we seriously need a top CB for next season. Also you are right that we might need a striker(Not a world class one but who is good enough to do a job of goal scoring when given a chance in the box like Eduardo).

Thats true sadly...

Hope Wenger buys a striker who's a 'poacher' like him. We missed his goal scoring ability in the box recently as we've been creating good chances but couldn't put it into the net of late....

What baffles me is that some so called "lifetime Arsenal fans" can't see the quality of the Football their team plays and the amount of technical superiority they have over the rest of the world as a team.

Laughing

Where was your technical superiority over THE REST OF THE WORLD when we beat you 5-1?

Getting treatment.

Oh yeah, ben91.

do you want to back that up with facts.

Graceless! I think the majority of managers in the league will argue with that.If you want to call him graceless because he disagrees with a decision or tactic then that's on you,but it's not only his right it's his job. What i would question are those so called Arsenal fans who sat back and said nothing when their team was getting kicked off the park by the likes of Blackburn and sheff U etc .They should be ashamed of themselves .

You want evidence of Wenger being graceless?

No problem mate, right here at your service:

People see what they want to see. That was the wrong clip to use as proof when it comes to class.
Pardue was as classless as they come in that sitaution. When his team scored ,it was n't enough for him to just celebrate with his team and staff,he needed to get Wengers attention and rub it in.Pardue not getting the attention he wanted in his show of professionalism had to venture into wengers technical area in order to show his sportsmanship. So you my friend are completely wrong in this case.So your clip only high-lighted how much class Pardue has.

Has Arsene Wenger lost the plot?
