      Hoi Oranje.
It really is confusing. Rolling Eyes Between christmas and today, the deal was anounced twice and then called off. Atletico offered 9.5 million Euro. Borussia would let him go for EUR 13 Mio. His contract is till 2008. But if (and here is another if) Pienaar comes (see dutch forum), the interest to let him go is higher. Also he is on the high-end of the salary bench.
Everything clear now? Question Not for me.

ah, not really, but thanks for trying.....I think you've explained the best it can be explained, there just seems to be a lot of 'if's and 'or's that seem to muddy the water even more so....Thanks.. Cool

The question is where would he fit? Although it seems he prefers the Primiera Division, he might better fit to the Premiership. Question

No, it is like the Vieri case in the other forum, news are changing biweekly. Smile And here we go again:

      Rosicky admits Arsenal fancy

Tomas Rosicky claims he would still opt to join Arsenal ahead of Atletico Madrid if given the chance.

Rosicky has seen his proposed move to Atletico fail to materialise in recent weeks after Borussia Dortmund refused to accept the Spanish giant's advances.

Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger has always thought to be an admirer of Rosicky and the Czech playmaker insists he would love to link up with Thierry Henry at Highbury.

"If I had the possibility to choose, I would like to play for Arsenal with Thierry Henry because he is the best," Rosicky told the Czech media.

Arsenal are being tipped to make a move for Rosicky, although Atletico remain in pole position to clinch his signature - which now looks likely to be in the summer.

PLEASE SOMEBODY BUY HIM FINALLY. Twisted Evil

He would be a great addition to Arsenal's squad. He is a central midfielder and he would fit into Arsenal's passing game easily.

But we (Arsenal) need a midfielder who is more defense than attack like Vieira more desperatley than anything else! Once we have filled the void Paddy V has left, then we can start concentrating on buying other players Cool

I know Rosicky isnt a Vieira kind of player. But a lot of teams are rendering Fabregas helpless by getting physical on him. I just feel Rosicky would make a better player than Fabregas. His experience may be useful as well.

Here is the new theory from the media

Rosicky from Dortmund to Arsenal, because AC Milan will substitute Vieri (to Monaco) with Fernando Torres from Athletico who was hot wanted by the Gunners since a while

      what do you think?

      Gunners 'hold Rosicky talks'

Tomas Rosicky's agent says he has held talks with Arsenal regarding a move for the Borussia Dortmund star.

The Czech international's future has been the subject of frenzied speculation after an off-on move to Atletico Madrid, although the midfield maestro has indicated his preference is to move to Highbury.

The Gunners have already spent big in January by signing Vassiriki Abou Diaby and Emmanuel Adebayor, as well as closing in on Southampton sensation Theo Walcott, and Wenger shows no signs of slowing in his squad rebuilding process.

Rosicky's representative Janos Toth has fuelled speculation by stating: "I am in touch with Arsenal officials", whilst Rosicky himself has again restated his desire to move to Highbury.

The gifted playmaker could follow in Alexander Hleb's footsteps by leaving the Bundesliga to join Wenger's project, and Rosicky has stated he is ready to try his hand in The Premiership.

"I know about Arsenal's interest, its something we are pursing," Rosicky is quoted as saying in The News of the World.

"English football will be a great challenge."

Meanwhile, Gunners star Jose Antonio Reyes has revealed his concerns at Ashley Cole's possible departure from Highbury.

The England left-back has reportedly been identified as Real Madrid's number one transfer target for the summer, and Reyes has stated that losing Cole would be a massive blow for the London outfit.

"Cole leaving would be serious for us," said Reyes. "He is one of the most important members of the squad."

6 foot an he is just 65 kilos??? i knew rosicky was thin, but hes really featherweight. Don't see how he would be suited any better to the physical nature of the preiership than Cesc Fabregas. Plus I'm not a big fan of him moving to Highbury just because we have enough players in the position he plays in. He plays in the centre of midfield where we have to play 2 central defensive midfielders to keep the balance of the team right, what with us already playing gung-ho on the wings. I heard somewhere than Rosicky also plays on the wings, which makes no sense to me, because we have already got Hleb and Reyes and pires and Freddy on the wings. Really don't see where we can fit him.

But Fabregas seems a little lost at times. And if opponents go physical on him, he loses out a lot due to his size. Rosicky on the other hand is a class act. I actually think he would do great for Arsenal. Plus, Arsenal don't really have the squad depth that can match the other teams in the top 5 at the moment. Injuries here and there and thats it. (Look at Newcastle)

175 cm = 5 ft. 10 in. m8... 180 cm = 6 foot... reyes is 175 cm... an hes 75 kilos... well i really can't see rosicky impose himself anymore than cesc does, yeekiat. everybody keeps talking about the physical nature of the prem, this is why. an i don't sell me the idea about arsenal lackin squad depth. heres why

      Mad Jens/Almunia
      Lauren/Eboue Toure/Djourou/Cygan Sol/Senderos Cole/Clichy
      Freddy/Pires Cesc/Flamini Gilberto/Diaby Reyes/Hleb/Quincy
      Henry/Adebayor Van Persie/Bergkamp/Lupoli

Lookin at it this way, we have 2 players for each position except for central midfield where we need a defensive mid rather than an attacking one. think we are going to have to wait till the summer for rio mavuba tho
