Striker Sergio Galvan Rey returned to Colombia after two years in the United States, agreeing to contract terms with Atletico Nacional.
Nacional's manager, Victor Marulanda, said Wednesday that Galvan Rey already had arrived in Medellin - where the team is based - and is working out with the team in preparation for the upcoming season and the Copa Libertadores.
"We reached an agreement with Sergio and he is Nacional's new player," Marulanda said.
The 32-year-old Galvan Rey played eight years with Colombia's Once Caldas scoring 171 goals before transferring to the MetroStars of Major League Soccer, where he scored nine goals in 47 games.
Nicknamed "The King of Goals" - his name "Rey" means "king" in Spanish - the Argentine-born Galvan Rey also holds Colombian citizenship.
