And they say he 'now seems certain to miss Tuesday's Champions League third qualifying round'. You don't say Rolling Eyes

As long as he's back for the Portsmouth game, I'm not sure he will be though.

I doubt it with a collapsed lung? You never know though.

At least big Sami Hyypia will be available.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. There's lots of people saying they're too similar to play together but I think otherwise and feel that without a target man but two mobile players like Rooney and Tevez, Man U. will get more goals from the team than they would with an out and out goalpoacher.

Manchester United have suffered a blow after learning that Mikael Silvestre will miss the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Silvestre, 30, was stretchered off just before half-time in Saturday's 1-0 win at Everton after collapsing in pain.

That International class Striker Eduardo can come in.

If not, we've got about 20 top class Midfielders. Smile

a blow to Arsenal of course if Van Persie is out more than a few weeks , but we have an abundance of classy players to come in and take over if needed .

When I seen the incident last night I knew he'd be out for at least a few weeks, it looked bad. F**k Arsenal, I'll have to make a transfer in my fantasy team now.

Liverpool have confirmed Jermaine Pennant is to undergo surgery this weekend on a stress fracture of his right tibia.
Club spokesman Ian Cotton said: "For the last eight weeks Jermaine has undergone intensive treatment at Melwood between matches for the injury.

"But following an acute exacerbation of the problem during the game against Besiktas it has now been decided he requires surgery.

"We anticipate Jermaine will be out for approximately 10 weeks."
