Scholes is set to be out for up to 3 months....

That's like Arsenal losing Fabregas or Liverpool missing Gerrard (oh wait they are better without him Razz)

You've got Anderson, everyone's creaming over him at the moment.

Torres has been ruled out for three weeks with an adductor injury and Alonso has fractured the fourth metatarsal in his left foot Confused

That's great news. With Torres back and not playing internationls, we could have him, Agger and Alonso all raring to go after the Newcastle game. Hopefully we'll have a full squad (bar Pennant) for the clash against United..

Why are certain injuries like Flavour of the Month? I hadn't even heard of an 'abductor tear' before, but now Torres, Benayoun and someone else have all had them. Before it was metatarsal's, where just about everyone broke at least two a week..

Ledley King is still struggling with a knee injury which has ruled him out since the summer and the Spurs star is unlikely to return before Christmas.
The London Evening Standard revealed two months ago that the Tottenham captain had suffered a setback and wouldn't play before November - it is now looking to be in the New Year at the earliest

Its not sounding too good for Leds.

Tottenham sporting director Damien Comolli insists Ledley King is close to a first-team return

The captain has not played this season because of a knee injury but Comolli said: "Ledley has not had a setback. Everything is going as it should and he will return when he and Juande Ramos feel he is ready."

BALE UPDATE

Quote:
Gareth Bale will undergo an examination of his right foot under anaesthesia to determine the severity of his sprained ligament.

The Wales international was forced off with the injury in our fixture against Birmingham City and he is likely to be sidelined for at least three months as a result.

"Following a review of all the scans Gareth will now undergo an examination under anaesthesia to determine the damage sustained to the foot," said Sporting Director Damien Comolli.

"Even if the examination reveals that his foot is stable the decision has been taken to bring him back slowly to ensure he does not get a repeat of the injury or suffers any further damage.

"Gareth is obviously disappointed to be sidelined for this length of time but he is still young and we have to do what is best for him in the long-run."

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez hopes to be able to call on the services of central defender Daniel Agger once again in the near future.

The 23-year-old has been sidelined since breaking a metatarsal in mid-September, but is nearing a first-team return.

"He is very close but I can't say which game it will be," Benitez told the Reds' official website. "We want to go slowly and be sure that he will be okay.

"He changed the boots the last time and I was talking with the doctor and they told me he's okay.

"He is kicking the ball much better than before because he had some problems. With training it was okay, but with boots he had some problems.

"It depends on where you put your weight in the foot, so the sole of the boots needs to change. It depends if he is comfortable.

"Now with the new boots he's been using the ball and maybe in the next days we should see a very good situation with him."

The Danish defender has made 53 appearances for Liverpool since moving to Anfield from Brondby almost two years ago.

Well thank God for that.
