Chelsea v Fenerbahce (agg 1-2)
Champions League QUARTER-FINAL SECOND LEG Venue: Stamford Bridge Date: Tuesday, 8 April Kick-off: 1945 BST Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been ruled out for two weeks after needing surgery on a facial injury after colliding with a team-mate in training. The Czech player had only just returned to training last week after missing nine matches with an ankle injury. On the positive side, coach Avram Grant said he was hopeful defender Ricardo Carvalho would be able to play a role. He missed the win over Manchester City, as did Didier Drogba, but both should play against Fenerbahce. Chelsea (from): Cudicini, Hilario, Belletti, Ferreira, Ben-Haim, Carvalho, Terry, Alex, A Cole, Bridge, Essien, Lampard, Ballack, Makelele, Shevchenko, Drogba, Kalou, Wright-Phillips, Anelka, Mikel, J Cole, Malouda. This is a big game but could also be a walkover. Im saying walkover cause Fenerbaches away performances are terrible while Chelsea are doing really well at home especially in the Champions League but the good positive thing about Fenerbache is that they have the 1 goal lead and if they want just defedn the whole game and hopefully luck turns on there side or they could well go out on attack but i cant see that happening for Fenerbache. If Fenerbache do win this i will be very shocked but everyone will be going on the Chelsea bandwagon as they should be able to defeat the turkish giants. Discuss. |
