nightmare walking out of St. James Park i remember.

i went to that match as well. we were too late on buying tickets, but instead we watched it in shearers bar. it was still a great atmosphere in there.

It's years since I went to Newcastle.

I'll be going to Edinburgh soon - but it's not that close, is it?

And, people from North-East are nice to me, btw (apart from one Evil or Very Mad )

Come to Dundee

I've never been to Dundee - missing out a lot on the eastern side of Scotland and England - Aberdeen, Dundee, Newcastle... Sad

I've put the whole quote thing here to show that I seem to be getting more stupid as I get older Very Happy

As I said in the first place - I have been to Newcastle, although only once, for a job interview at what is now the University of Northumbria.
I'd have got the job if it wasn't for the fact that I wanted to start higher on the pay scale than they would accept (the fact they were so tight-fisted annoyed the head of department, as he wanted me to have the job, and he told me so privately), so they selected a different person on the short-list of 4 called for interview.

I took the job I'd already been offered elsewhere on higher pay, and so, have missed out on life in the North East.

I have seen many people on this forum showing how I missed out on being in an area full of decent folk Sad

And - keeping on the current topic - it was a draw indeed today Wink
