Given the choice out of the two Chelsea centre backs, I would much, much rather have Carvalho than Terry. Its funny how a lot of people think that Terry is the physical, muscling Defender when infact it is Carvalho apparently who does most of that work as well as getting forward well and being composed on the ball.

Bang on the money pudding & pie. Carvalho everyday of the week for me. Then again, I'm not biased to jump on the nutsack of an English player

If Ledley King were fit then I'd say he's the second best centre back England have after Ferdinand.

Anderson? Really? He's got potential but there are better choices in Man Utd's team alone and wouldn't that midfield be really lightweight?

Yes. I rate him VERY highly. Lightweight.....in what respect....defensively? Maybe in comparison to your selection (you have Essien and Flamini in place of Anderson and Hleb), but I have a bias towards flare and attacking football.

I'd go with a 4-5-1 lineup...

GK: James
LB: Evra
CB: Carvalho
CB: Ferdinand
RB: Sagna
LM: J.Cole
DM: Flamini
CM: Fabregas
CM: Ballack
RM: Ronaldo
CF: Torres

Subs: Cech, Vidic, Clichy, Cahill, Gerrard, Tevez, Rooney.

I understand Ballack was a great player with Bayern and all, but he can't be included in anyones Premiership XI. If that's the case, Shevchenko should be in there

It's true that I am quite defensive minded or at least always want a solid core of defensive players but surely you need at least one tackler in the midfield? Especially a four man midfield.

I must admit, I rate Essien too but Anderson has impressed me from the very first time I saw him play for United in a pre-season friendly, and he is good in the tackle, so he will do for me. I also believe he has been far mor influential for United this season than Essien has for Chelsea in midfield. The same goes for my choice of Hleb over Flamini, I see Hleb as being more influential for Arsenal, from an attack perspective. I think Carrick and Anderson have been our most influential central midfield players throughout the season, with Scholes and Hargreaves having limited appearances because of injuries.

I like Ballack a lot. So only I included him. The OP said that I can have my personal Favs...

But you are right that he's not the best player he used to be ATM...

Of the few Boro games I've seen he does look quite good! Don't think he warrants a place in the best 11 yet.

I know its very common to say that the next young player is England material, but its hard not to think about it after watching him.

well its all relative, i think relative to his experience, the fact that this is his first season in the EPL, he has the burdon of having to fill the boots of woodgate, all things considered I think his performances in his first season have been very very good. Thats why i picked him. His performances relative to his experience and all the other factors.

Thisis a performance 11
