No idea how this will go down. Both teams have the players to win easilly if they perform. Matches like this are impossible to predict.

When it comes to a game played by ManU, My support always goes to the opposing team no matter who they are(Unless of course ManU winning might help Arsenal in some bizzare way) and You know that I think... Very Happy

My prediction for this match is Barcelona to win 2-1...

Since my prediction came true yesterday for the Liverpool-Chelsea match, I am hoping for it to come true again today... Smile

I don't know why, but I am really looking forward to this game tonight - strange but true! Confused

Does anyone remember the Cup Winners Cup Final between these two back in '91?
I think it was the first season English clubs were let back in after the Heysel tragedy in '85, and United were brilliant - I think Mark Hughes scored on the turn from a distance.
It was around the time of Robson, McClair and blimmin' Mike Phelan!

It was the best reintroduction for English clubs fans of the league could have wished for...from what I remember it was played in Holland.

I hope United get a decent result to take back to Old Trafford this evening.

Obviously I don't remember it but I've seen it numerous times, brilliant finish from Sparky that. So much pressure, such a tight angle and what a cool head!

I'm absolutely cacking myself, think I'm going to work out for a few hours to waste a bit of time and take the edge off.

Can't bloody wait.

No i hadnt even had my first birthday by then. Laughing

Im also looking forward to this game, bith teams liek to attack and play football, Barca have a pretty leaky defence so ManUtd will look to score but Barca now they need a result here so if Man Utd score then they will need to score so should be a good match in theory. Im going to go for a 0-0 Cool

Embarassed Laughing

Hopefully it'll be a cracking game - the stadium will obviously have a lot of good memories for the United fans.

I don't remenber the final in 1991 but i remenber Manchester against Montpellier, i think Laurent Blanc was playing for Montpellier. At that time i thought that the english clubs were still good for their come back. But for me it was not confirmed after even if some english clubs have won some european cups.

I think like you but i think it was the second season, last year was a good season too for the english clubs.

-------------------VDS

Hargreaves Brown Ferdinand Evra

Ronaldo Carrick Scholes Park Rooney

-------------------Tevez

Not sure what formation they will go for, normally he plays Rooney on the left in away CL games.

----------------Valdes

Zambrotta Marquez Milito Abidal

Messi Xavi Toure Deco Iniesta

----------------Etoo

Looks like a 4-4-2 to me.

Hargreaves at right back and the rest is self explanatory.

Youd of thought so but lost of the CL matches Fergie has played Rooney on the left, which would make sense since Barca have 5 in midfield.
