Juventus have struck terms with Sao Paulo for striker Grafite.
Juve director general Luciano Moggi has agreed a £2.5 million fee with the world champs for Grafite, who will be moved onto Le Mans for the rest of this season.
Moggi already has Juve youngsters David Chiumiento and Luigi Lavecchia at the French club and intends to also place Grafite there to accelerate his adjustment to European football.
Grafite will be brought to Italy over the summer and loaned to a Serie A rival, with Siena or Messina the most likely destinations.
Moggi sees Grafite as a replacement for Marcelo Zalayeta, who is becoming increasingly unsettled by his bit-part role with Juve.
