The Reds may face disciplinary action from European football's governing body after Tuesday's victory over
Chelsea was marred by pitch invasions.
Two crazed Barcelona fans, infamous in Spain for such stunts, ran riot on the field in the second half.
The first offender leapt into the goalmouth and was eventually arrested after scuffles with the security staff. The next man gestured dramatically in front of
Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho, shoving a Barca flag in his face.
The two men apparently performed the stunts on behalf of an die-hard Barcelona website and are scheduled to appear in the
Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Mourinho, once revered by Barca fans, is now the man they love to hate after
Chelsea's controversial victory over the Catalan giants in this season's
Champions League.
It is
Liverpool, however, who look set be punished since they are responsible for pitch security.
A Uefa spokesman: "We want to study the reports from the referee and match delegate and we will then take action if it is appropriate."
