Leroy Rosenior and torquay part ways |

Torquay United have parted company with manager Leroy Rosenior following Tuesday's 3-1 home defeat to Rochdale.
The Gulls have struggled to deal with life back in League Two following relegation from League One last season. The club currently sit in one of the division's relegation places, having recorded just five victories in their 28 league matches so far this season. Plainmoor chairman Mike Bateson revealed that the decision to let Rosenior leave his post was mutual. "We had a meeting after last night's match against Rochdale and spoke again this morning and we have decided that a parting of the ways was in the best interests of both parties," Bateson told the club's official website. "Leroy has been with us for three-and-a-half years and we have had some tremendous highs and we have also seen a standard of football that has surprised us all. "I thank him for his efforts and wish him all the very best of luck for the future." After first being appointed in May 2002 to replace current Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland, Rosenior took the South Devon outfit to a ninth-place finish in League Two in season 2002/03. The 2003/04 season saw The Gulls gain automatic promotion on the last day of the season, but their time in League One lasted just one season after relegation last term. With the club struggling to maintain their Football League status, Torquay have decided that now is the time for a change of manager. |
