Yemi Odubade - Oxford |
|
Oxford United have agreed a deal for Eastbourne Town striker Yemi Odubade.
The 21-year-old originally caught the eye of U's boss Brian Talbot in the FA Cup tie between the two clubs earlier in the season. Talbot has now agreed to pay £25,000 for the pacey hit-man who will sign a 18-month deal at The Kassam Stadium. Odubade had a spell with Yeovil Town prior to his stint with Borough where he managed two goals in eight appearances. However, he will now get another chance to impress in the Football League with the deal expected to be rubber-stamped on Wednesday afternoon. "We've been working hard to get the deal done and Yemi is delighted with the opportunity to move to Oxford," the player's agent Saif Rubie told skysports.com. "He is a powerful, quick striker and has the quality to make a big impact in League Two." |
