Pablo Cesar Leaves racing |

Defender Pablo Casar has left Racing Santander to sign for Real Valladolid on a free transfer.
The defender has been frozen out at El Sardinero this term having refused to sign a contract extension last summer. Racing have now agreed to let him leave early and he has signed on with Valladolid until the end of the season. Valladolid sit third in La Segunda, but the player has hinted he will only sign an extended deal if they achieve promotion. Reports have suggested Casar has an offer to join Alaves next term, but he is likely to keep his options open. Another player on his way out of Racing is Fernando Marques who is to join Atletico Madrid on loan for the rest of the season. Racing's coaching staff have lost patience with the 21-year-old who has been dogged by off-field problems. Last week he was banned from driving for 18 months and fined €2.000 (£1,200) after being caught drink driving earlier in the year. He has made only two appearances for Racing this term and will now once again move on loan to Atletico, a switch he also made at this time last year. Racing were considering terminating his contract which has three years to run, but have decided to hold fire in the event that Atletico pay to complete a permanent deal in the summer. The opportunity to move to Madrid has much to do with Atletico caretaker manager Pepe Murcia. Murcia was in charge of the club's youth team last season and coached Marques when he joined. The wideman impressed and Murcia has given him another chance to relaunch his career in the capital, although it is likely he will again link up with the club's youth team for the remainder of the season.
