Ukraine, Italy and france wont be eas to beat. Ukraine were the first team to qualify for the World Cup and have Shevchenko in attack while italy are the U-21 European Champions and will have some more good players coming through by the time the thing starts and France...not great but they will still be tough for Scotland.

I think the team to watch for a surprise in 2008 may be Russia. Hiddink has been known to pull off miracles. If ever there was a nation capable of producing raw footballing talent but unable to pool their talent into a solid team... its definitely Russia.

Turkey have had a really dissapointing run in international football lately. We placed third in WC2002
 , couldnt qualify against Latvia 3-2, and couldnt qualify against Switzerland for WC2006 after 4-4 aggreg. this time we shoul get it coz we got Terim bak as National coach!! |

England always get an easy group! Nearly every other group has at least 2 top teams in it.
On Irelands chances, I tink we can qualify ahead of Czech Rep, half their team is retiring now and they didnt look great at the world cup. germany will be tough but they dont have home mementum anymore. Its not going to be easy but I think we have a good chance. |

What's so easy about England's group? England's fans can only count themselves big favourites against Andora and that's it. Croatia is always a strong team to beat and not to mention Russia with the new coach Hiddink.
But above all, watch out from Macedonia. We're very hungry for revenge here and finally we have the right coach (Katanec) and great atmosphere in the team to do that. So be prepared for a surprise next wednesday when England comes in Skopje  |
