REYEZZZZZZZZZZZ
The Sun are doing their utmost to bore us to death, with the rumour that Jose Antonio Reyes is on his way to Real Madrid. As much as it pains me to rehash this story the 'facts' are as follows: The Spaniard doesn't like the chilly English weather (who does) and would love to join 'the biggest club in the world' (who wouldn't). And along with £10m, Arsenal will get Michael Owen. ITALIAN TO ARSE More interestingly, the Gunners have reportedly approached Cagliari about their Italian midfielder Mauro Esposito. The 26-year-old Juventus and Barcelona target, would cost Arsene Wenger £7m, and despite insisting he is happy at Cagliari, regular first team football would virtually guarantee his move. FERGIE EYES DE JONG And as you might well know, Alex Ferguson has Ajax defender Nigel de Jong firmly in his sights. The Man Utd boss made a cheeky £500,000 bid for the 20-year-old after the club's director Arie van Eijden said: "Nigel de Jong still has a deal until 2006 and is an important player in the vision of Danny Blind. We will not quote a fee, we want to keep him as simple as that." But reports this morning suggest that Fergie will return with a £2m offer for De Jong, who can also play in midfield. Spurs LAND DUTCH WINGER Tottenham, meanwhile, have agreed a £2.5m fee with Ajax for winger Daniel De Ridder. According to the Sun, both parties must still finalise personal terms, but the 21-year-old will definitely join in the summer. AND THE REST Man Utd striker David Poole will join Yeovil on a free transfer...Charlton want Bolton target - Paris St Germain's Portuguese international striker Pauleto...And Bayern Munich want Celtic defender Bobo Balde. |
