Yes "d'oro" means golden but "pallone" isn't the shoes but the ball. In fact the prize is a golden ball...

i agree with you that Ronaldinho is better than Totti; Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Henry, Zidane, Terry are talent, but they aren't complete like Totti in my opinion. He can play everywhere.

Rooney_79586.shtml'>Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho have some of the best touch on the ball, they are great scorers, and they create for other players so well, way above TOtti. If you have ever seen Rooney play watch him set up other players it is art. And Ronaldinho i dont even have to say anything he is obviously the best player in the world. Totti i laugh and i agree with others Gerrard Lampard Henry Shevchenko Adriano are all better then Totti

Yes, I agree also. Ronaldinho is the only player in the world today who is better than Totti. Its because of his loyalty and love for his hometown club that he hasnt received the worldwide recognition he has deserved. It really annoys me that he hasnt shown his unquestionable talent at recent world cups and Euro Championships, I know quite a few people out there question whether he is any good or not but my answer to them is watch him in Serie A. A couple of examples are last season when Roma won at Inter 3-2 where he scored a magnificent goal plus a couple of seasons ago when Roma beat Juventus 4-0 he destroyed the opposition. How anyone can say Adriano is better than Totti, I've watched him for Inter the last 2 seasons and he has been very average, Shevchenko was great but this last season and World cup he is losing it (Milan done very well out of that deal). Henry is the same as Totti great in the league but not for his country. Zidane is a great player good on the ball but doesnt score enough goals not in the same league as his fellow countryman Platini. Lampard is overrated scores lots of goals for Chelsea but would struggle in Spain or Italy. Gerrard, Rooney and Terry are the best English players, I would love to see both Gerrard and Terry in Serie A they would both do very well, plus Rooney is a fantastic talent needs to calm down a bit though.
