He chose money over a football place, could've become something had he joined Juve. He still has a chance to prove himself with Juve it seems.

I take it he hasn't impressed then. Although very few would get ahead of Alex, Terry and Carvalho even if they did impress.

True, I really did expect Ivanovic to be a decent defender, but he's not getting any chance at Stamford Bridge. For his own sake he should move, not sure why Juve are offering him a loan-deal though.

Cassano COULD be a good capture. But then again, he could bugger it up for him self again. Hopefully he realises he's running out of time if he's going to make a real success of his career.

I think he's been a real gentleman for Italy so far and that is because he realizes what you just said. This is his last chance and if he begins screwing up like he did at Samp then no big team will take him.

Juve To Sell Trez For Huntelaar?

Juventus may consider selling David Trezeguet to make room for the arrival of Klaas Jan Huntelaar from Ajax.

The Blaugrana have been trying to move in for the prolific striker ever since the Serie A season came to an end last month. Trezegol enjoyed a brilliant campaign with the Old Lady and finished only second to Alessandro Del Piero in the Capocannoniere chart.

Juve have been keen to keep Trezeguet on their books but CalcioMercato claims that the Old Lady may sell their hit-man to make way for Ajax star Klass Jan Huntelaar.

The Dutch star has hit a whopping 72 goals in 80 games for the Amsterdam based club and it seems as if Juve want to make room for him by selling Trez.

I thought bigger clubs were interested in Huntelaar than Juventus. Can't see it happening really.

No club is bigger than Juventus and that's why Trezeguet wants to stay here rather than move to Barca.

No thats loyalty to the club. No club is bigger than the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United. Your overexaggerating your own club...

ha that's a laugh.

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world, Juventus aren't even on the same planet. It's also because he wont even get in the team at Real.

Hard to knock out the competition when you have Saviola and Higuain.

Forgetting Raul and Van Nistelrooy? Plus David Villa who is likely to be moving to Real?

There is a striker who plays alongside Nistelrooy and that man is either Saviola, Raul, Higuain most of the time Raul. Trezeguet scores more than all of them so there is no competition, Nistelrooy and Trezeguet, I think everybody agrees...

You rate Trezeguet higher than Amauri and Amauri was wanted by Madrid

So Real Madrid are going to drop their captain and hero Raul for some 30+ year old Frenchmen? There is no chance at all of that happening.

Besides Raul contributes far more than just goals, so it's foolish to judge him purely on that.

That said Trezeguet scored 20 in 34 last year.

Raul scored 18 in 37 so they are not that far away in terms of goals.

and as I said Raul has a lot more to his game besides and is the most popular player in the entire squad for Real Madrid. No chance is he ever getting dropped for Trezeguet.

I know, just like Ronaldo, Beckham weren't going to be dropped, guess what they were by Capello. Trezeguet scores more goals and makes assists too.

Completely different situation. Both those players were unpopular with the fans and were not Madrid men like Raul. Raul is the hero and captain of Real Madrid. There is no chance in hell of Trezeguet replacing him. Raul gets a lot more assists than Trezeguet and no team needs two pure goal scorers. Most operate one straight striker and one support. Van Nistelrooy scores a lot more than Trezeguet and is more consistent and Raul has himself cemented in the support role. When RVN is replaced it will be for a younger player not someone the same age as himself.

The 2 you mentioned were favourite fans especially Ronaldo, because of his skills everybody loved him. Trezeguet could easily replace and aging Raul especially because he attacks and defends.

He has more chance of playing than Raul next season, that's for sure. He could also be a sub for Nistelrooy

Hopefully Raul (the poster) or Sticky will show up and confirm who he'd rather see playing for Real Madrid next year.

Of course he hopes Raul as

1. Raul is a Madrid legend

2. He is a fan, not the manager

3. He is but 1 fan of the millions

4. Let him compare Raul to Trezeguet now

Okay let me laugh for a few minutes

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Okay I'm done.
My personal and subjective opinion is Trezeguet is much worse than Raul, in terms of what a player contributes to a team. If we're speaking of goals, well Raul scored 23 last season (18 in Liga plus 5 in Champions) + 8 assists. I think Trezeguet scored 20 in Serie A. But it's not even about goals, Raul means EVERYTHING to Real Madrid, he's our captain, our symbol, our hero. I don't want to think what people would do to our president if he decides to sell Raul... it's something unthinkable.

But, on a more objective opinion, if you think to exchange a player like Raul, do it for someone who's clearly better at something. It's like in the Cristiano Ronaldo thing. Man Utd fans don't want him out of the team, but they'd feel better if they get a good trade (f.i. 60m + Robinho) rather than a bad one (40m + Diarra).

Said that, you should know Raul is going nowhere because we love him Very Happy

And 2 more couple of things. Raul is not a centre forward, he actually plays as a second forward, next to Van Nistelrooy (RVN has scored less this season due to injuries).
The other thing, you talked about Higuain as if he was a bad player or something, and the truth is Higuain is a talented striker, I'm sure He'll succeed if he gets more chances. He's got class.

@fakeplastictrees, Thanks for your comments about Raul. It's always nice to read good opinions about someone you admire Very Happy
