Not saying that Raul should leave if Trezeguet comes, but Madrid could do very well with VNR and Trezeguet, both goal scoring machines. They are both scoring goals everywhere and are consistent, but Raul has just played good this season.

Madrid do fine as it is. Trezeguet and RVN are both opportunist strikers and are just waaay to similar. You can't just be like "ok he scores 20 and he scores 20 so together they'll score 40." You have to be practical and partnering these two would be like playing with 9 men! Raul is a genius - a club icon and living legend on par with the likes of Totti, Del Piero, Adams and Giggs. He's had a prolific career and has been amazing for most of it (save about 4 seasons where he was unsettled by the galactico era) but make no mistake he's one of the finest exponents of elegant football on this planet. |

Alrighty then, here's something else to discuss
Juve And Spurs Want Podolski With three goals during Euro 2008, Lukas Podolski has certainly grabbed the attention. Reports from Germany are claiming that the interest of Italian giants Juventus and Premiership side Tottenham has been particularly awoken. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=740683 (Full article) What do you think of Podolski going to Juve? Could be a long term replacement for Trezeguet as his goal scoring record is amazing, especially for Germany. |

I think Podolski could make it at any club he goes to as long as his strengths are played to and he's allowed to start because he is a starting player. I'd be interested how he'd do outside of Germany and if in fact he can carry his international form to whichever club he goes to - he's a heckuva player but I think Bayern Munich's ambition and impatience have hurt his career in much the same way as say Real Madrid have hurt Julio Baptista's. He needs to be the man wherever he goes although I'm not sure even he knows that. At this point in time I'm not sure either club need him but should Berbatov go then SCUMthorpe Utd (Tottenham) will respond accordingly. Neither club are afraid to spend but Podolski looks like the type of player that would thrive at a midtable club rather than a top one.

If he has just played well this season, then how come is he top scorer in Champions League history? Why has he been top scorer in La Liga twice? Can you explain me how come has he scored more than 300 official goals? Seriously, it's very unrespectful to say Raul has just had a good season... |

Considering the last couple of season in with Ronaldo and Beckham, Zidane etc. he had 2-3 seasons where he wasn't good enough and was dropped. Last season was his best for a while

i thought Filipo inzaghi was the Champions League top ever goal scorer?? or i'm i wrong? |

Raul is with 61 goals

I might be wrong but Inzaghi is the top scorer in Europe which includes both CL and the UEFA Cup. But in the CL history, Raul is the top scorer I think closely followed by Van Nistelrooy...
Please correct me if I'm wrong... |

Not sure about Uefa Cup only but Champions League it's definitely Raul with 6x goals.

Raul is the Top Scorer of Champions League with 61 goals, followed by Van Nistelrooy and Shevchenko, with 50 something. But Raul has scored all his goals in the final stages while RVN and Shevchenko have also scored in the previous qualification games (those games that are played in August, you know).

Raul is a great player and so is Trezeguet. If you want to talk about accomplishments then I am sure Trezeguet has better ones. Back on topic
The Old Lady seems to have agreed terms with Stankovic http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=742432 (Full article) Not the best signing I reckon and he is old too. |

Your a joke?
Trezeguet has achieved more than Raul?? I don't even know how to reply... this is exactly why no oen takes your opinions seriously... |

Ok I'll prove it Trezeguet is - A world champion, a Euro champion (scored the golden goal to win against Italy) has Raul done that, nope didn't think so either. Raul has scored about 80 goals more than Trezeguet. Raul has won the Champions League a couple of times and that's the only thing better than Trezeguet. But would you like to be a world champions/Euro champion or win the Champions League? Ignorant people don't take my posts seriously, they don't know... |

Ok fair points but that isn't his individual success, thats as a part of a team.
I think you have a bit more Wikipedia research to do. |

I did with Raul but they are not writing much about Trezeguet's successes
Anyway back on topic again Trezeguet For Sale For €25m According to Tuttosport, Juventus will sell David Trezeguet to Barcelona if they receive an offer of €25m. Trezeguet has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over the past few weeks or so, and the Frenchman is currently second choice behind Emmanuel Adebayor in the list of strikers that Josep Guardiola wants for next season. Tuttosport says that Juventus will sell Trezeguet providing they receive an offer of €25m, and they have already started planning what they will do with this money. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=743025 (Full Article) |

Gigli Rules Out Stankovic, Cassano, Podolski & Aquilani
Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has ruled out the chance of Dejan Stankovic, Antonio Cassano, Lukas Podolski, and Alberto Aquilani joining the club. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=743537 (Full Article) Thank god we didn't sign Stankovic! too bad about the others though. |

Okay let's make somethings straight here. First, you'll talking about teams, so compare Raul and Trezeguet in their teams, not in national teams since Spain always do nothing Second, you say "Raul has won a couple of Champions League". What kind of serious post is that? Especially since Raul has won 3 Champions League. He's been 2 times top scorer in La Liga, he's top scorer in the history of Champions League, has won 6 Ligas, 2 Intercontinental Cups, 1 European Cup, 4 Spanish Supercups, has been 2nd in the Golden Ball (unfairly - in my opinion- given to Owen in 2001), 2nd in the Golden Boot, He's the top scorer of Spain (44 goals) and he hasn't even played for our national team since 2006 for some problems with our stupid manager. I don't doubt Trezeguet is a good player, but Raul is a couple of steps above, me thinks. |

He won the Champions League 3 times thanks to Real Madrid, it was not a solo-effort by him, just like you are saying Spain do nothing, Juve haven't done much there (CL) in the last decade.
And talking about teams doing nothing France never won the World Cup without Trezeguet, ever. |
France never won the World Cup without Karembeu either. Ever.
And of course nothing in football is a solo-effort, not even the personal awards like Golden Ball or Golden Boot. |
