Juventus Transfer Rumors

Post all the transfer rumors for Juventus here. I'll start out with Flamini rumor.

Juventus are ready to make an offer to sign Arsenal midfielder Matthieu Flamini, sporting director Alessio Secco has confirmed. Flamini has this season established himself as one of Europe’s best defensive midfielders, and he won widespread acclaim in Italy during Arsenal’s Champions League knockout tie with Milan last month.

The Frenchman’s future at the Emirates Stadium is in huge doubt however as his contract runs out in June, meaning that he can move to another club on a Bosman free transfer.

The ex-Marseille man has rejected a new deal from Arsenal that would raise his salary from €1m to €2m a year.

Juventus have been linked with Flamini for quite sometime now, although Arsene Wenger publicly stated last month that he had been promised by the Bianconeri that they would not be making an offer.

This all seems to have changed now, and Juve sporting director Alessio Secco has confirmed that they are readying themselves to offer the 23-year-old a contract.

"We have not yet made him an offer, but we are thinking about it," he stated.

Secco has been hugely criticised for his transfer policy over the past couple of years, however the signing of Flamini would surely massively repair his reputation, and even begin to turn the Juve supporters onto his side.

Would definitely be a great purchase for Juve, he will be as solid as possible alongside Sissoko.

It'd be criminal if Flamini moved to another club on a free. But i'm all for other European side's improving, and the Swiss midfielder would help Juve to do that for sure.

I would be devastated if Flamini leaves for an Italian side. And it being on a free transfer, will be pouring salt on the wounds.

This has been rumored since early January, only time can tell right now. Flamini says he wants to stay at Arsenal and is enjoying his time here and so forth. Now he just wants to get paid. So we'll see if Arsenal pay him or not.

Italian clubs dont have the financial power anymore to buy other big clubs players in a hostile nature. If Flamini signs his new contact, he will be at Arsenal.

how did it ever get to the point where they never renewed his contract?

Arsenal are usually well run behind the scenes.

quite risky leaving it so late to discuss terms aint it.

They offered him a contract early in January before he was allowed to speak to other clubs freely. But he rejected it. I'm not sure how much more he was offered, but the word back then was that Arsenal were not going to offer him much more beyond their initial offer. Not sure if that has changed now or not. Hopefully it has and they show him the money so they can get his signature on a contract that ties in to the club for a few years.

It would be bad to lose him, and devastating to get nothing in return for him.

They've offered him a double his old salary ( making him earn 2m/year) but it's not going to happen, he is coming to Juve Very Happy. Anyway, Kewell seems to be moving closer to Juve, not the best signing, but wouldn't mind having a 2nd Salihamdzic at Juve.

"Harry Kewell is moving closer to a summer move to Juventus, according to the latest reports in Italy.

Harry Kewell's five-year contract with Liverpool expires at the end of June, and there are apparently no plans to extend his stay on Merseyside.

The 29-year-old’s time at Anfield has been plagued by injuries, and he has barely featured at all this season, making his last appearance during the FA Cup defeat to Barnsley back in February.

The Corriere dello Sport says that Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is an admirer of Kewell from his time as a coach with Chelsea in the Premiership.

The Tinkerman would like to strengthen the left midfield position in the Bianconeri squad, with Pavel Nedved, who will turn 36 this summer, the only option currently.

The fact that Kewell will be available on a Bosman free is also attracting to the Juventus hierarchy.

However a club source from Liverpool told the Sunday Mirror in England that Kewell wants to stay at Liverpool.

"Harry and his family are really happy in the North West and don't want to move,” said the source.

"All Harry's concentrating on is getting fit and doing his best for Liverpool. They're the club he supported as a boy and he still wants to prove himself to the fans."

Sunderland, Celtic and Bolton are also said to be interested in landing the Australian international."

Kewell would be a terrible signing. Were I a manager I'd never bother with players who can't get themselves fit.

Oh my god, you're right. I can't of gotten mixed up though, 'cause he still doesn't seem French - i think that's because he has barely played for France though, which is surprising with him being as good as he is.

Woah, easy man. No big deal. It's just that i was surprised that you were wrong about Flamini's nationality and Gallas and Toure's age.

If you don't shut the [beep!] up i'm gonna break your [beep!] legs.

Only kidding. Wink

But i didn't really get Gallas and Toure's ages that wrong; i said Gallas was in his 30's (which, being 30, he is) and that Toure is nearing 30 (i thought he was 28, when he's actually 27, but it's not much difference).

Amauri is coming to Juve! this is great. I am sure he will be a great assist to Juve specially in the CL next season. I never liked Palladino and while he might have potential we all know he's never going to become something with Juve, the players are just far better than him.

"Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted that he wants the club to sign Amauri, while he also hints at an exit for Raffaele Palladino

It is common knowledge that the Bianconeri are closing in on the signing of Palermo hitman Amauri, with the only question being when, and not if, the transfer will be completed.

Some people have questioned whether Juventus, as they already possess the best set of strikers in the league, really need Amauri.

Ranieri believes that with the extra Champions League football next term, the squad will require strengthening. The Tinkerman also hinted at the sale of Raffaele Palladino.

"David Trezeguet, Alessandro del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta are doing well, if we're trying for Amauri it is because next season we will be in more competitions,” said Ranieri, who failed to list Palladino’s name.

"In any case, I'll talk only of players that I have in this team, the others we can talk about next season when I will have them available."

Juventus are up against Ranieri’s former club Parma tonight in their rescheduled Serie A match from week 31."

It must have been only at Leeds that he looked a top class player.
Injuries, yeah. Rolling Eyes Good signing for anyone, can pay left-back too, but a little too lazy for that!!

Arsenal should offer Flamini whatever he wants...and then just sell him.
