i would love to say Spurs vs Arsenal...but the class gap is so big its not even a decent game anymore...

prob Man U vs Liverpool...thats allways a massive game and the fans really hate each other..lol

Surprised

I disagree! Okay so maybe it dosn't rival other games in the sense that Arsenal and Spurs isn't a match when looking at what they are competing for - but in terms of quality and entertainment, the North London games have been consistently head and shoulders above the manc, merseyside and glasgow derbies for the past 5 years or so for real value.

I agree with you in terms of quality and general entertainment, yet if we are talking about sheer passion i don't think you can rival Rangers-Celtic anywhere else in the Premier League

In the Historical sense i would say Personally Chelsea v Leeds .
To the majority of UK Probably Man U v Liverpool.
From 5 years ago until Wengers manager. Man U v Arsenal.

These two waged an epic over the weekend and the future is bright, now that Man U have abandoned the Flintstonian route and actually play Arsenal in a game of pure footballing skill. That's as long as we can get foreign refs to do such matches.

Chelsea vs. Leeds? Why would this be such a big rivalry?

As for the Chelsea Leeds rivalry, there was a slight disliking many moons ago way back when...I think it originated from a Cup Final between the two in the 70's that went to a replay and was quite 'dirty' - Chelsea were seen as the fancy dan's from the Kings Road and Leeds working class scum down t' pits. But beyond that I don't think there has really been a rivalry between the two - perhaps on the terraces as the fans disliked eachother, but beyond that I don't know.

Maybe a Leeds or Chelsea fan or specnur can shed some light on it.

The Chelsea - Leeds rivalry comes from the fact that both sets of fans used to be absolute scum.

i guess you missed when i said PERSONALLY. It may be a bit before your time ,but most Chelsea fans who know their history would say this team were their biggest rivals in the 70's.

"Personally" just means it's of your opinion - what the hell's wrong with asking you to give reason for it?

The type played by Leeds Back then and the type played by the likes of Blackburn etc when they play Arsenal.I quite sure you didn't really need that explanation but there it is.
