Theres a rumour that Moyes is keen on this guy. He should be a quality acquisition. However, only know he plays in midfield but not exactly which role.

He's a slow but technical skillfull creative midfielder. Reasonably solid in the tackle but his real skill is in passing ability and a great left foot shot.

Now Riquelme , there is a player worth having.

riquelme wont come back to europe.

Everton couldnt afford him or Kalstrom

Lyon play in the Champions League and there would be a few German Champions League teams after him.

No chance

I wouldn't move if I were him either but some players step down a lot to play in England.

As good as Riquelme is you need to build a team round him. He has horrible discipline too, not a fan of training.

I heard this rumour a little while ago. It was quite faint at the time. But surely moving to Everton would be a step down in his career? He should at least try and orchastrate a move to Tottenham instead.

Kim Kallstrom has opened the door to a possible summer move to Everton.

The revelation that Lyon midfielder Kallstrom would consider a move to Goodison Park left Everton officials bemused as no concrete plans have been made for this summer’s transfer policy.

Strengthening midfield is top of Moyes’ list of priorities and Kallastrom’s comments are sure to have been noted but it is still too early to say whether the Blues will move for the Sweden international.

Kallastrom has made 60 appearances and scored seven goals at Stade Gerland and is currently trying to help perennial champions Lyon retain the French title but has admitted that he will not be making any decisions over his future until after Euro 2008.

But asked whether he would consider a move to Goodison, the 27-year-old replied: “Maybe, it’s a great championship so why not? But at the moment I’m concentrating on playing in France. Lyon is a great club and I hope I stay there for a long time.

“It’s the first time I've heard anything about it (Everton's interest) so I don't know actually. But why not? Why not? It’s a great club that plays at the top of the Premier League so why not? You never know, we'll see in the summer after the Euros.”

What a joke!!!! Can't stop myself laughing! So moving to Goodison is a step down but going to Spurs is a step up????

When was the last time u looked at the league table m8? We were the only team that qualified for the CL outside of the top 4 in many years. We have also consistantly qualified for the UEFA Cup through our league position. Based on these facts, we definately have more potential to offer him euro football than Spurs.

Another point to note, the EPL is currently the most popular and successful league. Its got the money, reputation and glamour. So any player coming here apart from say Spain or maybe Italy will see this as a huge move up career wise. So it isn't a big surprise to see Kallstrom or any other players doing the same by joining a leading premier league club.

Teams like Porto, Fenerbache, Rangers etc... plays in the CL as well. So why are they not getting the best players??? Spurs has gotten Berbetov when he could have joined any of the mentioned teams or even those bigger ones from Italy, Spain or stayed in Germany. There are more things to consider for a professional footballer. Money is one for a start!

Commanding a move to a top team that plays regular CL games and stands a real chance of winning it is normally reserved to only the very best players in the world. Kallstrom is good but definately not in the top tier. I don't expect him to cost more than 10mil pounds. Moving to Everton is a real possibilty.

Kim Kallstrom to Everton.......
