What was your run at the beginning of the season? That was pretty good wasn't it?
I hate Sunderland. The lasnt two times i've been there, they've stole the points of us in the dying seconds. I would like a draw.

that was four games without a loss, then derby beat us Shocked

Newcastle to win 2-0

Newcastle have the foundations of a good team. With some good signings in the summer they should easilly be top half next year.

Well we won Very Happy Very Happy . we started the game great with Owen giving us the lead after 5minutes. His movement for that header was typical Owen this season. He’s now scored six headers in 20 games he’s played for us this season. After we got the goal we started to boss the game. We played some good stuff mainly through the amazing Beye. The second goal came through a penalty. Owen was some what lucky to get it under the keeper, but it went in.
So at half time it was 2-0 and all the Geordies were thinking it is going to end 4-0. That didn’t happen. Sunderland played better in the second have and put heavy pressure on our midfield three. They had some good chances, their best was a header from Jones which was well saved from Steve Harper. This was just after martins missed a good chance.
I think both Sunderland and Newcastle could have scored goals but 2-0 was a fair result in the end. Sunderland had times they didnt look too bad but were unable to get a breakthrough. My man of the match has to be Beye. He was unbelievable up the right. Geremi who I thought had a terrible game, made Beyes performance look even better. Both butt and Barton has solid games and of course Owen was the goal scorer.

Harper 8
Beye 9
Taylor 8
Faye 7
Jose Enrique 8
Barton 8
Butt 8
Geremi 6
Owen 9
Viduka 7
Martins 7

The next game for the lads is West Ham. We have now only conceded one goal in our last six games and we have Owen who has scored six goals in six games. Things are looking good, lets carry this form on for not only the rest of the season but for next aswel. COMON THE LADS!!!!!!

Now that is an uneven team if ever there was one. Comedy defence, washed up midfield, awesome strikeforce. Newcastle never learn.

nice to see you change your mind!!
so when you watch a Newcastle game it seems you know and understand things. This was not the best performance but atleast you have changed your mind. That 'comedy defence' have let in one goal in six games! not bad like.

Man of the match for me was OWEN. Sunderland had the better of the second half due to running around after every ball like a bunch of headless chickens but were unable to do anything thanks to a great Newcastle defence and excellent goal keeping skills from Harper. Harper get my vote to start next season over Given. What is it now 2 goals let in in 5 games. 5 wins out of 5 derbies for Keegan. Poor Sunderland.

Let me state to the Spurs fans. We are now level on points we you. West Ham next and being just 5 points behind them we might fancy our chances of finishing 10th.

i think we will change the team for the Chelsea game. Playing three up top could end pretty bad for us. we wil beat West Ham so you lot will have to beat Bolton to stay in 11th place Cool

Laughing I'm not so sure about West Ham, I think you'll get a draw or just get beat.
