Hi,
Cardiff Cityfan here !!! how is everyone ?

thought I would take a look at other sites to get some information. As i'm sure you are all aware we are in the FA cup final and our club is adopting a postal request system for distributing our 25,000 tickets which is confusing many of us (bright) CCFC fans. What i was wondering was how bigger clubs handle such events as obviously we havent had to worry about stuff like this before !!

cheers,
BlueBird .....

ps - my main concern is that they are asking us to supply card numbers including the 3-digit security codes which will in turn go through the royal mail !! not entirely safe surely ?? Shocked

Welcome here BB - nice to have someone suporting a Welsh team.

I can understand you worrying about sending details through the post if you have to put the security code on it too.

How did things work for the semi-final - was it any easier?

the semi final was safer but the problem was we had to queue and follow the first come first served policy which was chaotic !! obviously we dont have the problem of panicing because we only have about 10,000 season ticket holders so you are guaranteed you ticket BUT as you can imagine fans DID panic and you just couldnt get near the place Shocked

It's your first final since you beat us 81 years ago ( Evil or Very Mad ), so you are going to be determined to be there, and I can't blame you.

Btw - I wasn't there in 1927, even though many peeps here seem to think I'm old enough to have been Laughing

But - did I hear correctly that there was a guy at the semi-final who was at that game?
If that's true - it must ne fantastic if he goes to the final - should be as guest of honour.

yeah 81 years since the welsh keeper had a howler Laughing

thats right, there was a guy at the semi who also attended the 27 final, looks pretty good for it too.

i will definately be there on the 17th, like i said, as i'm one of only about 10-12,000 season ticket holders i am guaranteed a ticket Very Happy

welcome mate.

my advice to you is to use recorded delivery. that way you know your details are safe. if the package does not arrive correctly just cancel your card immediately.

Big Clubs (or West Ham!) gave away the allocation to ticketmaster who sold them for the club. this was even worse. their phone lines were in meltdown as the demand was probably 3-4 times the availability.

Welcome to the forum BlueBird, hope you stick around - I'm delighted the final is being contested by anyone other than the big 4 (Arse, United, Chelsea, Spurs Wink ) so here's to a cracking Final mate!
