Middlesbrough got a goal in the 20th minute by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to topple Coventry, who managed only 2 shots in the match, and only 1 on goal. The attendance at The Riverside was 14,131.

Pretty poor attendence tho, a cup run is just what the Boro need right now to lift morale.

Yea this was a must win match for the sake of Steve McLaren, it wasnt convincing but we scraped through.

A cup run would lift morale but We've got Preston in the next round! Away from home!

Never beating Preston they're on a 24 game unbeaten run!
