Saturdays Games

Boston Utd v Wycombe
I can't see Boston getting anything from this one up against top of the table Wycombe who will be expecting to extend their lead.

Bristol Rovers v Stockport
I think Bristol Rovers will win this one, Stockport will be looking to throw everything they can in their remaining games to stay in the football league but I think Rovers will prove to strong.

Bury v Barnet
This is a must win for both sides as they strive to stay in the football league, Bury have a game in hand over Barnet so anything other than a win will do Barnet but I can't see it, im going with a home win.

Carlisle v Rushden & D'monds
I think this one is over before its started, Rushden rock bottom in the league and Carlisle flying high, at home aswell, I can't see anything other than a few goal win for Carlisle.

Chester v Leyton Orient
Although it sounds odd me saying away win as both teams have had different fortunes this season but I will, I think Leyton Orient can take this one.

Darlington v Shrewsbury
Home win for me, both teams haven't had a great season so I think the home crowd will win this.

Macclesfield v Lincoln City
Confident away win. Lincoln are just on the outskirts of the play-offs so will be looking to try and sneak into them.

Mansfield v Wrexham
Wrexham will win this one, they still have a very good chance of making the play-offs as they have a few games in hand on most the teams above them and these are the games they'll be looking to win.

Northampton v Torquay
Almost definate home win, there could be an upset here but I am going to go for a home win as Northampton push for the automatic promotion places.

Notts County v Peterborough (Game of the day)
I think the sides will be to close to seperate with the result being a draw as both teams have their eyse set on a play-off place.

Oxford Utd v Cheltenham
I think Cheltenham will win this one and add to Oxford's worries as they get ever nearer to the relegation places.

Rochdale v Grimsby
Expect nothing less than a Grimsby win, I think promotion is in the bag for Grimsby, although it is very tight at the top I can't see anyoneknocking them out the automatic spot and expect them to end up champions.

Anything to add/change?

Thanks for that comprehensive round up Hoopy and i agree on most things. I'd like to think Wycombe would get more of a game then you're suggesting as Boston looked a good outfit and will certainly take the game to Wycombe.

I also have a sneaky feeling that Lincoln will lose their match at the weekend, not sure why just call it 6th sense!!

I agree that we should have secured promotion but i'm still a bit nervous just because it is so tight at the top of the table.

Well as mod of this section is my duty to keep you all happy, well that's my excuse anyway Laughing I like chatting about less glamorous stuff, all this girly chat about Harry Kewell etc

Anyway, although I posted it as being played on a saturday and not friday night I predicted that well, Northampton beat Torquay so, so far so good in this league at least Smile Better than my Championship prediction.
Will post full times and reports as they come in, come one Grimsby and Wycombe! Smile

Boston had a good game.
We could have got 3 points if Joachim hadnt missed a sitter.
Good to see Kuipers back with us, sounds like it will be long term loan.

Yeah, i'm pleased i got my first prediction of the season right!

Glad Boston did well and they also helped us out by stopping Wycombe streaking ahead.

They weren't bad predictions though, I summed them up quite well and gave a good reason for them just to many draws this weekend! Ah well next week different story.

I have mentioned trying to start something like this before but there is this website for predicting linked to this website but noone uses it so I thought we could start our own one but never got a straight answer. I'll try again and get more people involved then we can do a few from each league each week, if not a heads up gamebetween me and you Wink
