i understand what Sticky T is saying ...the award should go to a manager who has performed superbly well throughtout the season and achieved a level of success that is relative to the clubs status and expectation .
So Man Utd winning the Premier League and losing the Champions League final to Chelsea would be a fantastic year for Sir Alex .. Chelsea winning the Champions League and finishing runners up to Man Utd in the league and Tottenham in the Carling Cup final ....would that be a better achievement for Avram Grant or is this all expected and so no longer as good to win it if Harry Redknapp wins the FA CUP with Portsmouth and finishes 6th or 7th in the league ...is that a greater achievement for a manager considering the status of the club and funds available hard one ..... |
