Ronnie is always the favourite, it's a bloody joke.

How much has he won in the last 3-4 years?! Not a lot!

C'mon Higgins!

It's a shame Fu and Ding weren't playing different people, because they're two of my favourite.

Completely agree about Ronnie always being favourite!! His form is far too erratic. Betting on Maguire would provide far better value, as would Selby and Murphy, in my opinion.

Ding is NAILED ON to win the tournament one day.

I'm cheering for Ronnie but he beats himself most of the time. Presses the self destruct button. But at his best he would beat anyone else at their best, I'm sure. I remember to see him play Higgins in the final of the Masters a few years back - he destroyed him 10-3. He was absolutely gold that day. Unplayable.

Hope he shows similar form in the coming fortnight Very Happy

Yeah, but then Higgins played him the UK championships and and absolutely battered him - breaking several records in the process. Higgins was gold that day. He then beat him in the masters as well, in what was for me the best game of snooker i've ever seen. The final frame was magical!

I agree that Ding is nailed on to win it someday.

We seem to have similar views on snooker as well.

But i sense unlike me, you don't dislike Murphy. Is that correct?

This is turning into a nightmare. My 4 favourites are out. Ding, Higgins, Davis and Fu. My other favourite is White - who didn't qualify.

Then there's the ones i quite like - Selby and Doherty - both out!

I've got no one to cheer for now. Sucks.

wtf is that suppose to mean? Laughing

Ronnie made a 147 to win his 4th frame in a row and knock out Mark Williams.

Robertson tried to make a come-back from 11-2 down, but after he won 5 frames in a row, Maguire finished it 13-7

And the young chinese lad Liang Wenbo is playing well against Joe Swail. After the first session it was 6-2 to Wenbo, does anyone know what the score is now?

Well, most of the big guns are out, but still, anyone can beat anyone in this game, such is the standard nowadays.

Add to that Ronnie's erraticism, and anything can happen.

You never know, Wembo could surprise everyone and win it.
