England offer Juventus coach Capello £18M deal |
|
Juventus coach Fabio Capello has received a bumper offer from the English FA to take over Sven Goran Eriksson's job as national team manager after the World Cup.
Corriere dello Sport says the FA, through an intermediary, has offered Capello a £4.5 million-a-year contract through to 2010 - including a luxury villa in the heart of London. Capello is contracted to Juve until 2007, but has admitted he could leave at the end of this season with doubts hanging over his close allies Luciano Moggi and Antonio Giraudo and their positions with the club. Giraudo has already hinted this week they're on the lookout for Capello's successor after their admiration for Roma trainer Luciano Spalletti. |

duplicate, Mo - It has already appeared under the "Who should be the next England manager topic" in "General Football"

But I think it is OK in here because not everyone will be interested in who will be next England manager if they are Italian for example, and it is relevant to Italian football.
Thanks for the heads up though |

This particular story was? because Capello was not in your poll |

Capello had never been training an national team, and in few of his interviews he said clearly that he prefer to coach a team, beacause it's a "full-time job", around the clock.
If capello intend to coach in England, i think he will be at Manchester or maybe even Liverpool (if Benitez will move to inter, as the rumors say), and not the English national. |

In the sixth page of the topic. But its okay. I'm not sure I want Capello as the next England manager either. He's capable of doing it I'm sure, but no I don't think I would like him there. |
