Haha, who progresses at the rate of those two though!!

Very few players. If that's the standard they set for their youth players, then there's no hope for 99.9%.

That is their standards. Just think of the players they've let go. Quaresma, Riquelme, Fabregas, Saviola and many more. To make it at Barcelona, especially if you're not Catalan you need to be a something really special.

Do you all honestly think these players were 'let go'??

They were poached by English clubs- Merida and Fabregas to Arsenal.

The rest didn't fit into the first team. Or in Saviola's case he was too lazy to fight for a spot and was told to get knicked.

Giovanni Dos Santos isn't all that good. He set alight the fans during pre-season but isn't even a shadow of that form now. sk a real Barca fan like putrum6. He isn't half as good as his younger brother Jonathon too.

And our youngster Dani Pacheco. There's a lot of poaching going on.

Would be mad to let him go because although hes not been at his best who can they get to replace him for a reasonable price

Apparently we've signed the next Bojan Krkic. Razz

The way they talk about the likes of Messi you'd think he was in his 30's. But anyway, apparently Bruna is supposed to even be "better than Messi". Surprised

Snippet from Wikipedia:

Quote:
Real saw this as a massive blow, with many in the Spanish media touting Bruna as the 'Messi of Madrid' due to his electric pace, dazzling dribbling and impressive delivery and goal scoring record. In an interview in his homeland, talking about new argentinian players, football legend Diego Maradona tipped Bruna to be better than Lionel Messi and Javier Saviola, saying "he could be a different level, better than Saviola for sure and even Lionel."

If the likes of Pacheco, Bruna, Nemeth, Insua, Bouzanis etc. fulfil their potentials we'd have a mighty good side in the future.

Bouzanis should. Trained with him on a youth camp and played against him and he is one hell of a goalkeeper. Oliver Bozanic for Reading is good mates with Dean, shame we missed out on him. Bouzanis and Bozanic were quite the pairing. Bouzanis, distributes to Bozanic, Bozanic holds it up and makes the crucial pass. Is it to late for us to poach him? Wink

Fair enough but who's to say his brother will reach this "world class peak" and dos santos wont remeber he is young so he has a long time to fulfil his potenial but to write him of is a bit extreme.....

i'm not "writing him off" i'm just saying he isn't as good as all the hype suggests. He will be an above average player but not a superstar like Ronaldinho or whoever.
