i have absolutely no idea who arranges or votes on these awards ...it would seem logical to have the decision based on the whole season or at least up to march/april . I mean Fabregas played superbly up until the new year ....did that ensure his place in the team .....who else has played better up until then .

But , if the result is up until january then the result are mostly correct in my opinion .

It is only natural some of us will disagree though with the experts opinion . Wink

Who are these "experts" though.
If they are anything like the BBC's expert, Steve McClaren, then no wonder they know f*ck all!

20 goals placing him 2nd in the list of top coring midfielders
11 assists (in just the league) placing him 3rd overall

Of course there were the customary wonder goals, and let's not forget the crucial late strike against Inter, as well as numerous other important goals.

Just a thought before I go off and watch the Champions League semi final....

Wes Brown has played at right back all season with Gary Neville being out injured
and done far more than Sagna of Arsenal in my opinion to deserve a place in the PFA team....
He has earned himself a new contract with Man U and played for England also in that position!

He has been good this season, but no way has he been better than Sagna.

Brown gets caught out quite a lot. Against Chelsea didn't he get skinned? Or was it the game before?

But any three of those would be ahead of Ashley Young.

Ashley Young has been one of the best players in the EPL this season and fully deserves recognition. He is one of the main reasons behind Villa's good season. He must surely be leading the way in assists. Ronaldo is the only midfielder I would say has had a better season.

What has Gerrard done this season? Wouldn't have him on there. Can't argue with the rest of it though. Evra & Clichy was 50/50

If Gerrard's done nothing than neither has Fabregas.

But that said Young is picked for the left-wing, Gerrard isn't. They aren't really competing.

I think both Gerrard and Fabregas should be out of that side.

To many people put Brown down alot. Think he does a good job at right back since Neville has been out. I feel if Sir Alex has confidence in Brown for all these years he surely cant be that bad. To say Sagna has had a better season than Brown im not to sure.

What has Sagna did to make that team bar play steady and simple football yet his team doing only ok compared to Brown at Man United

Wes Brown is being rated higher because of the strength and record of the other defender in the back 4. But fair play to the lad, he has done very well, that much is obvious, otherwise Man U wouldn't have such a good defensive record.

If I were a Liverpool supporter, I would put Ryan Babel ahead of Steven Gerrard right now.

Evra over Clichy. Other than that it's a fair pick.

Gerrard has 20 league goals? Or am I not realising that this is Premier League (But those who play in Europe have an advantage as they play more games therefore increasing the likelihood of getting more goals/assists) Team of The Year

Thanks for that Jackpot. I thought Gerrard had over 20 goals, but i was too busy/lazy to check for the exact amount, so just settled with a very modest 20 goals...

So, 22 goals. Me thinks Stevie needs to find his shooting boots - because it's SOOOOO disappointing how few times he's found the net this season...

Laughing

evra deserves a place in the team as well as lescott.. don't understand why sagna and clichy were there instead Confused

i'd also like to see barry instead of fabregas in the mid.. barry's been playing consistently this season..

as for the strikers.. urgh.. not adebayor.. it's annoying.. torres would've been the best choice.. or maybe cruz.. dunno.. anyone but him.. Mad
