Even if Manchester deserved to go to the final, i find them less impressive yesterday than in their matchs against Lyon. I think the players don't want to have a card and miss the final.

Not so much a poor Barca performance as an excellent counter performance from United, splendid defensively and potent in attack. Can't really ask for much more than that!

The work-rate of the players tonight was just immense, it carried us through, Tevez in particular made me moist between the legs...

Aaaaaah, still hasn't sunk in yet! Champions League Final in 3 weeks! Get in Smile Smile

Also I thought Ronaldo was much more mature tonight and played for the team so after crucifying him last week I really have to commend him tonight. If he played like that every game and found the right balance then I'd probably fall in love with him Laughing

YEEEEEESSSSSSSS!

I'll give me feelings tomorrow, I'm just too buzzed right now.

I think the same about Ronaldo.

When he played for PSV he was with Lee the player of Tottenham, they play well together.

Good match again, though its not good to see Barca playing so beautifully and not scoring, never mind not winning. Messi was taking 6 people on at a time, shame he couldnt take on 7 and score a goal. Very Happy
Ronaldo for world player of the year? Long way to beat Messi!

Messi was by far better than Ronaldo, but one thing he lacked was finding the back of the net. He passed the ball too much to Eto'o who doesn't have the quality he once had 2 years ago. Kaka won the Ballon 'dOr last year because of his great performance & goal-scoring ability.

Great performance from the whole team. Brown was immense at the back, Ive always been a fan of him but he really was great last night. Rio on the other hand I havent been a huge fan of in the past but hes finally showing his potential recently and put in another great display at the back. Evra did nothing wrong either, Hargreaves made a mistake in the first half when he let Iniesta through & they nearly scored but considering hes a midfielder he did well overall.

In midfield, Carrick was average enough, he doesnt have the technique to match Xavi, Toure & Iniesta and was again exposed. Scholes was great as usual, constantly winning the ball back and controlling the tempo of the match and then obviously he got that goal as well. Its great to see him finally get the chance to play in a final. Park and Ronaldo were ok, Park worked really hard all night and put in some good crosses while Ronaldo despite not doing much at least played for the team unlike last week. Nani on the other hand was [beep!] to be honest, his final ball was terrible and he kept choosing the wrong option, to be fair to him he did work hard though.

Up front then theres Tevez obviously, man of the match along with Brown in my opinion. It seems impossible to run as much as he does, he just never stops for the full 90 minutes, he was all over the pitch closing down, won the ball plenty of times and was probably the best player going forward as well.

The crowd was great as well, I havent seen an atmosphere like that at Old Trafford since the 90's!

In the final Id prefer Liverpool just for the occasion more than anything, it'd be an amazing night Man Utd v Liverpool in the Champions League final. Annoyed the games on a Wednesday though, Im sure I heard they were switching in to a Saturday recently?

I really fancy a Man Utd V Chelsea for sure now and for the sake of football. Cool

Haha, that was a joke right?

I don't think the FA would find it funny somehow, do you?

what a tense match.. barcelona nearly outplayed us in every single aspect.. from the stats given.. it could've been a luck for us to go through.. their midfield's scary and i always held my breath each time messi had the ball.. such a pity that he's got to be in the losing team.. this guy's really amazing.. T.T

and scholesy's simply superb.. never imagined that he'd the one to earn us the ticket to moscow with that fantastic kick which ended up as a goal.. and park also gave me a very good impression.. in a nutshell.. everyone's been working hard.. congratulations.. XD

Barca were a joke for both legs. All that possesion and not a single great attempt on goal nevermind an actualy goal.

Barça didn't play great games (isn't a surprise because if you had seen some Barça games this season played worse), but if Barça were a joke, what were United? The team that United fans say that play the best football in the world, were 75% of the time defending and won thanks to a Zambrotta's mistake....

Shocked

we've been playing defensive enough in the last couple of matches.. and with a weird formation too..

as a matter of fact.. scholesy wasn't in a real good position to strike either.. but he's somehow confident to shoot it out and scored.. so yeah.. don't put all the blame on zambrotta..

Man United did the job and thats that. Should of had a penalty when Milto "spelling wrong" decided to pretty much elbow Ronaldo when was a corner. Barcelona like already said had plenty possesion but did nothing with it. Messi did well and Toure did well also. Nobody else for Barcelona never really stood out. Brown i thought was pretty solid for Man United. Not alot of people like Brown but put on a good performance tonite.
Tevez for me was man of the match. Ran his heart out just kept on running and chasing dead balls. Thought Park did well also.

The penalty that could be was the fault by Scholes to Messi in the minute 1 or 2 that could be in the line of the penalty area.

but it's not a pk.. just an obvious fk Smile

If the fault is in the line then is penalty, and seeing the images is in the line.

well.. there's quite a patch of grass tinted white as the line.. so if it doesn't really cross the whole patch yet.. then it can't be considered as a pk.. the linesman might notice that too.. Confused

I think certain player thrive in CL football rather than the premiership ,mainly because the games are reffed the correct way.Show that sir Alex knows what he's doing,Babels another one that plays better in Europe.

Its not the reffing thats different, how would that affect Parks play?

Its the style of play, that especially for Man United is very different this season in Europe. As a winger in the prem Park would be expected to get forward, stretch the defence and put in crossed for the players in the middle, that would be his main role. In Europe and especially in this case against Varca this time his main job was working his ass off defensively, pressuring from the front and taking care of the fullbacks going forward so the more central midfielders could concentrate on their vital job of watchin the rusn from midfield.

Bro, did you see some of those calls the officials have been making? They would never call those in the prem and you know it.If they did Arsenal would be defending champions right now.I am totally not agreeing with him being mainly here to help the defense out,no way in hell am i going for that. The fact that he has that ability a bonus ,but he was very effective going forward in fact more effective than the current Premiership player of the year 10 -1.Wonder if there was any press over your side that give that a mention!
