Does anyone else watch these amatures try and put a football program together. The pundits talk complete garbage except for Les Ferdinand who's spot on. But i heard steve Macmanam call Cesc Arsenal's most consistent player this year ,what a laugh.
I did hear one Horror story ,Aliaksandr Hleb is a wanted man elsewhere and could be on the way out.My favourite player in the world leaving the best football playing club in the world and the best league in the world?Shocking.I was put at ease a bit by Wenger saying that only Flamini is a possibility to leave ,but Wenger wants him to stay.If Hleb leaves Arsenal i will be gutted and will find it hard to watch any games initially. I watched Hleb when he was at Stuttgart and became a fan and predicted he would go to Arsenal a year previous to him moving there.
I guess it is only obvious really as he is a different quality that only the likes of Ac Milan ,Barcelona or real madrid could appreciate.I just hope he stays.

Setanta is a joke when it comes to the commentators on it. The games in general on it are good to watch

Good to watch ,true ,but they give updates to the other games currently being played which i have hated since i was 7 yrs old. And in a programming sense ,if you DVR o record a match they cut off the end of the games sometimes , as their programs end at odd times. They suck *ss to be honest when it comes to unbiased opinion and they have this Mourinho caricature which is actually quite funny . The constant p*ss taking of Wenger shows the networks true colours. The only good thing is that they provide the games that Sky don't carry which means i can watch a complete weekend of matches if i choose.

3/10 for quality.

I never say anything bad about Setanta, because i dislike Sky and prefer to go against the grain when they are involved. Them dominating football coverage and taking away England games from normal TV channels takes the biscuit.

I don't subscribe to Sky or Setanta - gets too expensive.

The (legal) links I watch don't usually have the same pundits before and after the game and at ht (thank goodness), but I can see the games - often with the same commentators as those that pay.

When I had NTL, or Virgin, what ever the hell it's called I had Setanta for free and it is complete garbage. I mean sky seems god like compared to it, and that's saying something with it's woeful commentators such as Andy Gray and Martin Tyler.
Setanta Sport News will never be on par with Sky Sports News also, specially as SSN have Gillette soccer saturday with Jeff and co.

Setanta via Freeview is a load of b*llocks. You get one freakin' channel. Shocked

If it gave you Setanta 2 and LFCTV i'd be more than happy, even if the coverage isn't great. I just find it funny to be honest with the likes of Macca, Sherwood and Les trying to give their expert analysis. It feels relaxed but not as smarmy as the BBC, and when its all said and done the reality is that pundits rarely tell you anything worth knowing anyway.

It airs games, which is the main thing. And as Sticky said - anything but Sky is fine by me.

Haha Becks, it's all about the Stelling isn't it!

Without Jeff, SSN would be nothing!

What about all the Blue Square Premier League coverage?

To be fair, it must be heavenly if you support a team in the Conference.

I have a Setanta box now and never had sky, so i like it. It allows me to watch loads of footie cheaply, and despite the questionable pundits they use I'm glad it exists and am pleased they are being given even more games for next season.

Oh yeah, that's another thing. Setanta is in its first season, so it's understandable that there are problems, poor pundits, less coverage etc.

I'm sure if Setanta had been around for as long as sky, they would've found their own Jeff Stelling by now.

I don't see what's so bad about Setanta Sports.

I like the coverage, the set-up and most of the pundits. I've never had Sky, but when I've watched it I've usually been infuriated by the high-horse snobbery that goes on amongst the football pundits & commentators (bar a few).

I would agree that some of the football guys on Setanta aren't really the best, and a few are annoying but it's not up it's own ass just yet.

I like the Rugby stuff, the IPL coverage, some of the boxing and all the football shows and so on. SetSN is handy as well - I had SkySN and it was no better.

setanta sports anyone.
