No words Cadena Ser radio is counting it: Florentino leaves Real Madrid.
After an extraordinary meeting of the directive body of Real Madrid, Florentino has just given the news, He leaves. Most of the supporters wanted it, (me too), but we have to admit that He has been a great president. He has won some tittles (including 2 Ligas, a Champions, 2 Intercontinental Cups, an european supercup...) but I'd like to underline that He has given "illusion" and "happiness" with the named "Galacticos" (at least his firsy 4 years).
What are your opinions?? Spanish media is a kaos now, lol

I didnt expect that to happen! I think its good for the club, Perez always signed great attacking players and never really cared about defence. Every year he spent millions on attackers when Real already had enough world class players in the position and he just tried to sell out. Whenever a manager went on a bad run then he got sacked so I think its a good move for the club to get a new president

Bad new for Barça. We had liked that he had continued being the president for the next 10 years.

I'm listening right now to the radio and they say that Florentino Perez left because he has been progressively disenchanted with his professional players, specially the galacticos (i'm sure his message is aimed principally at Ronaldo). He said he had spoiled them and they didn't understand the club's values. We all know who runs the team and it's not their president. The attitude of Madrid's players lately sucks. For Florentino it was too much when in the last game against Mallorca no one cheered Sergio Ramos' goal, it looked like nobody cared if Madrid won or lost. It will be difficult to run a club with this tense atmosphere with so many players hating each other and with egos the size of the Bernabeu... so we can assume Madrid is in a deep crisis and I hope it lasts.

After listening to the radio all night I keep this quote whihc summs up Madrid's situation perfectly:

"The father of the brat left but the brat stays"

I think Real is in a big crisis. Yesterday, I read on the news , Raul was attacking Ronaldo verbally, regarding Ronaldo's comments prior Arsenal clash. Even the cool Raul is not happy.
I think it is a good thing for Real.
Florentino should have given Makelele the salary he deserved. Now it has cost him his position. ( <--- just a personal opinion ).

Please Afrinux, lets not start with the Makelele situation again, I think we've all had our say on it, and basically know where we all stand. I would like to think that Perez had more than enough time to find a replacement yet chose to spend on other players instaead of filling the gap created by Claude's leaving...In the end the players may have let Perez down, but this was his team and he made the purchases that were not the right ones......

Thought it was just gonna be a matter of time before Perez realises that he had to go.

Some of the players got too big for the club and they just dont care anymore, as was mentioned above nobody celebrated with Ramos at the weekend and theres just a bad spirit and atmosphere at the club over the past year or two. They need to bring in players that understand the tradition of the club and understand the value of playing for them. Perez didnt do that but I heard on the radio he left because the players stopped caring

It is a perfect timing for Barcelona to lure Cicinho and Robinho. Not because we need them, but to make Real more weaker than it is now

Not sure if anyone caught the substituting off of Baptista in the 67th minute when Raul came in, but he was fuming and continued to fume on the bench. Not a happy player at all. Thought maybe it would have been wiser to take the Brazilian statue Ronaldo off instead........I still think Baptista made a mistake going to Real, he's been an underachiever, but that’s just my opinion…….

I agree. Baptista wasn't the worst in Mallorca. Ronaldo did nothing. I think Raul should have substituted Ronaldo

Ronaldo hasnt done much at all recently, I watched both the Arsenal and Mallorca games and I honestly cant remember him having one shot between both games

I've watched the highlights of Real Madrid v Mallorca and honestly, I don't quite understand Ramos when he said that the Real players did not celebrate with him.

It looked like they were celebrating the lead there.

He had one shot at Lehmann which was from outside box centre. Weak and scuffed shot that rolled into Lehmanns arms. More of that big man!

You should see the bench, specially Salgado... He was bitting his nails, and didn't react. When He noticed the camera was filming him, he clapped only twice! with a serious face.

I noticed that as well, it appeared that Raul, who was on the bench sitting next to Salgado was happy that a goal had been scored......

Lol. I guess you two know better. I saw only the highlights.

Raúl was happier than Salgado (at least he showed it), but Salgado's reaction was very cold I think he's mad at the coach because Cicinho is playing more than him.
I¡ve always liked Salgado, but Cicinho is very quick. IMO, Salgado is a better defender, but Cicinho is quicker and is more offensive.
