Norwich boss Nigel Worthington has ruled out the sale of goalkeeper Robert Green, while also insisting they won't be dropping down to the Championship.
The 25-year-old keeper has attracted the interest of a number of Premiership clubs, most notably Arsenal, and also earned himself an England call-up. It was expected that the Canaries would cash in on the player should they get relegated, but Worthington insists the thought has not even crossed their minds. "'First of all we're not going down," he told the club's official website. "'Secondly, Robert Green is going nowhere. That's my stance and also the board's." Norwich's final game of the season is against Fulham and Worthington is confident they can get the win that will see them stay up. He added: "'We are playing Fulham and they have got good players and will want to go out with a bang. It's been a massive turn-up in form for us and we've got to complete the job now." |
