Exactly Johaldo, Terry saw the headlines and the highlights reel and let that influence his better judgement. Grant should have stepped in to stop it, just goes to show the players rule that club.

Did anyone hear the good news?

That Austrian rapist who kept his daughter in his cellar is being given the death penalty!

The bad news is tho, John Terry is going to take it.

I just join this forum mainly because I want to talk about last night fantastic game! Here is my opinions;

Is unfair to win / lose through penalties, but more excite for the viewing.

Vidic / Drogba / Tevez could ALL have see red card in my opinion.....

Sad for Terry to slip but if grass / rain to fault, why noone else slip???

Ronaldo look very unprofessional how he take penalty - what was he thinking?

Chelsea deserved the win. We were the much better team, we just coudn't get it in the net. We should of had a penalty when Ferdinand kicked Drogba in the head.

We'll be back next season though
And were gunna win it Very Happy

Congratulations to Manchester for their great season and congratulations to Chelsea for their final and their Fair play.

Yesterday Chelsea deserved to win because it's the first team that was able to go through inside the MU defense this year, their game is beautiful but their finish was not good and not lucky. I think if Anelka have played sooner they were able to score few goals. Manchester have played well the first half, but after i see that it was less easy for Ronaldo.

Tevez has fired all the players in this fight. And Van Der Sar good fair play player too, if i was referee i would have given him a red card, if he wanted to do the clown, he could do it out of the pitch. Confused

By way it's great season for Manchester. Smile

What a match , I had a nervous breakdown but we won and that's all that matters Laughing I just new Ronny was miss that penalty. I thought United were the better team in the first half , Chelsea the better in the second and United in extra time. But I hate a good match like that to be decided by pens.

Congrats to the lads they did well.

The feeling of United winning is not so bad as it was on penalties... they always bleat on about how we can only win on pens, so it was funny to see them do it here...

And at least we don't win our shoot-outs courtesy of John Terry slipping on the turf to his arse! Wink We're rampant.

Them winning was also eclipsed by the sight of Terry weeping like a bloody toddler after missing the pen to give 'em the European Cup. When we lost last year we didn't shed a tear. I know he missed the pen, but act like a man John - you didn't see Anelka with red raw eyes after missing the final one did you? I hope he doesn't get another chance to be honest, he's a cheating scumbag of a player and his last and only Champions League final to finish like that would be very appropriate.

It would've been nicer i think if Ronaldo had missed the crucial pen, but meh, that's that.

United were probably fortunate by 90 minutes to not be out, but every winning side has fortune on their side, and they did defend excellently regardless (and of course could have been out of sight in the first-half).

With a superb game like that it's difficult to be bitter.

You really hate Chelsea and despise Terry, huh?

Aye, lad. How can anyone not?

You cant really knock Terry for stepping up and taking a penalty, most would not take one.

Well done "the team we dont speak of" and also Chelsea, it was a really good final which had it all.
At least Ronaldo appeared in this big match.

Gutted. Sad

The only reason Terry took the penalty was for the glory and to impress Capello. He even said before the game that this was his chance to regain his England place and armband. Personal glory and achievement got the better of him.

I would still blame Drogba more, as most Chelsea fans seem to be doing, as getting sent off with 3 minutes to go was utter madness - and he would have taken one of the first 5 penalties definitely - but Terry still has to shoulder blame for the defeat.

Congrats Manchester United, was an enjoyable final for the neutral and not the tight cagey affair I was expecting to be honest.

Chelsea didn't get a sniff until equalising bang on half time, but credit to them they came out and took the game to United in the second half...overall I thought they shaded it, but you can't take anything away from the red devils.

And what a counter attack by United in the first half, beautifully floated long ball by Rooney and Ronaldo whipped the ball across for Tevez to miss out on fractionally - that would have been thank you and goodnight.

Fair play Terry for being man enough to take the penalty. Shame you weren't man enough not to blub like a baby but never mind hey.

If we're talking about missed chances then Chelsea could've scored the 2 shots which hit the post and crossbar.

In retrospect i think the Chelsea fans got what they deserved.
I think if you asked 100 of them who they wnat to take the final penalty in that same scenario they would pick Terry over Kalou and so i'm quite happy about that. They think with their heart and not their heads which
is quite common with the Brits i.e. ir alex selecting Giggs and scholes for sentimental reasons.

I thought that stutter step by Ronaldo was illegal!

didnt mention it at the time as i was too busy discussing the actual football but i would like to highlight the usual assaults on the match official by the Chelsea players. John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, Makelele, Drogba and J.Cole were the worst offenders. it is highly ironic that the only non arrogant, dignified and respectful man involved with Chelsea Football Club will likely not be there at the start of next season. they seem to crave this type of person. an arrogant whinger epitomises Chelsea and Grant is too good for them. the main gripe of him is his lack of 'charisma'. perhaps if he bitched and moaned like mourinho did he would have 'charisma'?

while i would have liked Grant to have won the trophy im glad Chelsea did not win it. in a footballing sense they probably deserved it but in a sporting sense they did not.

Ferguson got lucky and he knows it.

What the hell was John thinking?! Has he really lost all sense of reality that he's started blowing his nose onto people?!

And people laugh when i say i wouldn't want Mourinho as manager of Liverpool.
