i agree. He stil has years to improve but he could have been much better to start with. He shows lil bits a greatness and then hes crap. Just have to get the best out of him more. It was in the paper today that the money we paid for him was split over 5years. So we have only spent 4million on him and hes scored like 30goals for us. Pretty good business by Newcastle. for once |

Considering the service he gets he has done pretty well. |

He needs to move on to a new club, didn't he say he would if the (former) manager was sacked? |

He has had potential since he was playing for Inter, but seriously he needs to leave to Arsenal as his speed fits perfectly in their system, no?

No, he should stay with Newcastle for the time being. They are on the up, looking to play attacking football, and that could suit him perfectly. I rate him highly. He isn't an intelligent player, but he has so many good attributes. He has a cracking shot on him - immense power. He has great pace, and with his strength, it makes him a very dangerous runner with the ball. So if he runs at defenders he can cause problems, and if they stay off him, he can punish them with a cracker from distance. He also has a heck of a leap on him, which makes him a danger with his head as well.
I'f you were willing to let him leave for a reasonable price, i'd bite your hand off. Him and Torres with their running and pace would have defences tied up in knots. |

Obviously you haven't seen him play and what does that say about the toon fans that love him and booed when he got subbed? Have you sen the service he get's from that trash they call a midfield at Newcastle? If Martins is put on a team that have no agenda but winning as a team the he will be a 25 goal a season player,of that i have no question. The goals that he's scored for Newcastle were primarily from nothing.I can't count how many times i watched him get the ball at just past the half way line with two men on him and bury the ball. Now imagine what he would do at Arsenal where he is getting service from the likes of Hleb,Cesc etc. The contrast in styles between him and adebayor and RVP would only be a benefit . The game aginst Chelsea wasn't his best and he made quite a few silly mistakes, which got me to believe he was trying too hard to impress. That being said ,he showed that he was effective in getting past player and being a menace against a top side ,which is something the current players player of the year cannot do. That fact alone should put Ronaldo's ability into some kind of perspective. But enough of him. Martins is a world class player on the brink ,if moved to a top side he will become one of the top 5 strikers in the world. |

Its clear you havnt seen some of the goals Martins has scored. If you had have you would know that Barton has supplied three of this last five goals. But you dont see that, im not even sure how much Newcastle matches you watch. When you seen him make the mistakes you cant say thats because he was trying to impress |

It will be a cold day in hell before Martins is better than Eto'o, Drogba, Tevez, Torres, Villa, Huntelaar, Benzema, Ibrahimovich, Van Nistelrooy and many other forwards. |
