Athletic Bilbao have told
Chelsea they are ready to sell sought-after fullback Asier del Horno - providing they come up with 20 million euros.
The 24-year-old Spain international has emerged as a top target for Jose Mourinho, who has earmarked a new left-back as a priority.
The sale of Celestine Babayaro in January and William Gallas' reluctance to play in the position has left Wayne Bridge as the only specialist, and he has been injured since the start of the year.
Del Horno has emerged as one of the hottest properties in Spain, with Real Madrid and Barcelona also said to be interested, and now Bilbao have paved the way for him to leave - if any club is willing to match his buy-out clause.
"The price is 20 million euros and anyone interested can speak with us," said an Athletic spokesperson.
