Post in here any transfers that happen between now and the start of next season.

So far only one in League Two...

Michael Johnson [Derby to Notts County] Free

Veteran defender Michael Johnson has agreed a one-year deal with Notts County after a successful loan spell at Meadow Lane.

Johnson, 34, joined on loan from Derby County in January and has played a big part in helping the club avoid relegation from League Two.

"I couldn't be more pleased," Magpies boss Ian McParland said.

"He is still a quality player with a tremendous knowledge of the game - and he's a superb influence."

Johnson, who will sign when his Rams contract expires in July, started his career at Meadow Lane.

Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson has strengthened his squad by bringing in Stephen Hindmarch and Paul Murray.

Striker Hindmarch arrives from Carlisle, where he made just seven appearances as a substitute this season.

Murray has joined The Shrews following the expiration of his one-year deal with Scottish Premier League side Carlisle.

Simpson, who worked with both players during his time in charge at Carlisle, is confident they will help his side next term.

"It's good to have two new players on board. I have both worked with them before and they will bring a lot to the squad for different reasons," he told Shrewsbury's official website.

"Stephen is a gamble but one that I think is worth taking because I know the type of football he can produce, and Paul is a midfielder who has had a good career.

"This season he had a good strong season where he played over 30 games for Gretna in the SPL.

"It was a really tough season for that football club but Paul really showed that he can play."

and today the club has announced the signings of Matt Heywood from Brentford on a two year deal and Richard Hope from Wrexham also on a two year deal.

there could be more transfer news expected tomorrow, hopefully we can push for a top half to playoffs finish this coming season.

Morecambe have signed Celtic youngster Diarmuid O'Carroll on a one-year deal.

The 20-year-old ex-academy starlet has been a regular scorer for the Bhoys' reserves for the past two seasons.

"My former Manchester United team mate Jimmy Nicholl really rates this boy," said boss Sammy McIlroy.

"He's an exciting prospect - he had a choice of a few clubs but he chose us and I am really looking forward to him linking up with the rest of the lads."

It seems a really friendly club and I can't wait to get started

Morecambe striker Diarmuid O'Carroll

O'Carroll, who has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at all youth levels, said: "As a young Irish footballer it was my ambition to play for Celtic and I love the place.

"But I have to think of my career now and look to make my mark. A few clubs were interested in signing me but I liked what Sammy McIlroy had to say.

"I came down a few weeks ago and it seems a really friendly club and I can't wait to get started."

Seems one hell of a step down really, in terms of Club caliber. If he was that prolific for Celtic reserves as a younger player I'm surprised bigger clubs than Morecambe weren't in for him. But i suppose reserve football in Scotland ain't the best.
